How can me and a friend do missions?

I hope this is in the right section.. Me and my friend would like to do a job.. A proper mission like stealing cars or getting the drugs etc.. How on earth do you do that because we can only get in with random people. When we are in the map together all we can do are competitive missions (on separate teams). Thanks for any help. Jon

When you ge a text off an NPC character such as lamar or lester. Go on the phone, job list and accept the mission from the NPC(don't accept the player ones). There you can customize the options, make it a closed lobby and invite your friend into the game.

Yes. You can also go to the blue markers throughout the map. You just need to ensure that one of you is hosting the game.

Or start an 'Invite Only' session, Invite only your friend and do the same as the above poster says.

wait for text messages from Simeon, Lamar or the other guy.... Starts with a G.
they will text you jobs, or when you reach a certain rank, you can call them for a job.

Jobs show up on your phone. Bring up your phone and go to the middle tab, "Jobs"
then you can select one to enter... once you are in, you can confirm the settings and invite people to your job.

This will begin your Coop Job so you and friends can play Coop missions online.

Ahh right, I thought I was supposed to wait for npc texts but my friend and I have been playing for 3 hours now and we haven't had a single text... Bug?

Oh and selecting jobs from the phone just takes us out of the private session and puts us in random groups.. The 'missions' on the map are for teams. So we both have to be on opposing teams ..
