My "Bad Sport" gripes.

Ok, I became a bad sport last night. I deserved it.. that aside I would like to complain a little.

 

1. Destroying other players vehicles should not give you a bad rating. Most of the time I had to blow or destroy their car because they wanted to repeatedly run me over and spawn kill me. I defended myself (mostly). Make it so if a player is driving their personal vehicle, I can see it on the mini map. Or give us a server option to where this is legal to destroy their cars. I wasn't the only one at fault. It was a 50/50 confrontation. I just suffered more.

 

2. There needs to be a way to speed up the time you are in "bad sport" rating. Like maybe pay a sum of money to the person(s) who you were being a bad sport to.

 

3. Your friends should be able to join a "Bad Sport" server if they do so choose. I played for four hours without a single person to play with. I understand that I could not join them. But my friends should still be able to join me.

 

4. Getting kicked from a server and getting "Bad Sport" is dumb and broken. I joined a server of lvl 10's and instantly got kicked for being lvl 30. That's complete bull crap.

 

All in all I think it was a good idea to put this in the game. But they seriously need to change a few things.

A bullet to the head of someone that's repeatedly killing you would suffice. The auto-lock system makes this incredibly easy. However I admit its unfair if its purely in self defence which in your case, it wasn't, meaning you brought it on yourself.

 

The system is there as a deterrent to stop people playing like utter bellends. You don't get this penalty through one or two player kills, you get it for being a moron and ruining the game for other players.

Again it was a 50/50 confrontation. They wanted me dead. They knew they were going to get shot at. Its not my fault they decided to take their personal car to kill a lvl 40 with sticky bombs.

I just became a bad sport aswell and most of it was in self defense...

 

I agree you should be able to reduce the time that you are a bad sport some how and self defense shouldnt make you a bad sport.

Again I love how they added this in the game. Besides being bored and nobody to play with, I'm having fun. I've made about $500,000 in my "timeout" time. I just think they should change a few things. Mainly being able to still play with "good sport" friends.

 

I got lucky too. I only got a 24h "grounding"

Then don't use sticky bombs idiot. You're 100% at fault for this. You obviously are aware that destroying cars makes you a bad sport. Yet you continue to do it.

The whole punishment is that you cant play with your friends. The whole "playing with other bad sports" is almost pointless considering the regular lobbies are full of bad sports not yet "identified".

I agree with up to 4, i can understand for getting kicked for being too high level. But giving a bad sport for it is bullsh*t. I can understand the feeling of lower levels getting sh*t on by the carbine and advanced rifle, even the snipers in good hands.

The bad sport rating should be shown as a numerical value of some sort next to your name in the in game player list so others can see. If you exceed X than it declares you a bad sport. But others should still be able to join you.

 

Also destroying someone's personal vehicle should get you 0 bad sport rating. That's just retarded.

 

Bit off topic but I thought that when you died you would loose most or all of the money that you have with you in your "cash" account and that's why you want to ATM it to your "bank" account. Apparently this isn't the case and you still only loose a couple hundred when you die. I was hoping that you would at least loose half or most of the cash that you had with you. It would make it more realistic, and then that other player could pick it up and now he would have the money.

Exactly. I undetstand I'm not supposed to be able to plat with "good sports" but it shouldn't restrict a "good sport" from CHOOSING to go play with a "bad sport".

 

Another idea with the vehicles. If a player has killed another player in the last 10-15 minutes, their personal vehicle shouldbe able to be destroyed without giving a player a bad sport.

 

Kill me with your car while I am doing something else, minding my own buisness.. your car was with you.. it might die also.

The bad Sport system and the passive mode system doesn't work to well. Other player vehicles should be listed clearly for 1 thing, Self Defense should be allowed, Passive mode should be pvp related not pvp AND pve related, this way you can fight the cops, do missions, hold up stores without worrying about pvpers.

 

in passive mode other player vehicles that they are driving should go through you, $100 to turn on Passive mode is stupid and irrelevant and looks like something R* just tacked on.

 

Blowing up another persons car is not Bad Sport, It's PVP, turning Passive mode on should make your vehicle and you Invulnerable to all Players.

 

EDIT: Also, Your not just kicked into the "Bad Sport" room but your also being called a Bad sport by using a mechanic that R* themselves created. Also GTA Isn't a sport.

Exactly. A player that is not trying to be a douche can EASILY be put into bad sport just by defending themselves. Yeah I can shoot them. But when a person runs me over and over and over before I can even stand.. of course I'm going to retaliate. They need to make a PVP server type. Anything goes without worring about destroying the douche's cars.
