GTA Online is a Grind

So I have already sunk about 30+ hours into GTA Online.

It's fun but I have noticed that it has turned into something that Rockstar explicitly said it would NOT be - a grind. My friends and I are all level 30 or higher and for the past few days we have been essentially grinding for cash and RP. Like many people we have been playing the "Base Invaders" mission over and over. It's nice because it nets you a lot of cash, but when you consider that a silencer for your handgun costs over $12k, it's hard to think that 25k is all that much.

The problem for me is that it seems that there is really no good way to make money other than grinding this mission. Racing seems to make you a decent amount of money, but it's not easy to consistently win races. (Especially with the whole slipstream BS, but that's for another post)

I hope that Rockstar adds ways for higher level players to earn more cash soon. The heists that are supposedly going to be added should be a big help, but we don't have a clue when those will be added.

I am just disappointed because it seems that we have already reached the game's ceiling in a way. We have completed the "Base Invaders" mission so many times that it's just incredibly boring to play and we are not really sure what else to do at this point.

I would like to be filling up my 10 car garage with sweet vehicles, but there does not seem to be a good way to make the kind of cash required (Other than the Cash packs which I will never buy...)

 

Would love to hear some of your feedback and comments on this matter.

You make a valid point, and I figured I would get a response like this. What I mean to say is that we have already played through almost all of the missions from all of the characters and are finding it tough to find NEW things to do. It seems like the in-game content is very limited. It's also tough to have a good time in free roam because the auto-aim feature ruins most PvP contact.

They will constantly add more content, but I'm sure they're waiting on adding new missions until they fix the game saving cloud issues.

Change it to free aim in single player and you enter free aim lobbies in GTAO

It's less of a grind than any other multiplayer I've played. Plus it's a ton of fun. It's only gonna get better too.

Change it to free aim in single player and you enter free aim lobbies in GTAO

Its not a grind. I mean you can play survival, deathmatches, races, parachuting and much, much more. If you're only playing the game to get money and buy everything then the game will get boring real fast. What are you going to do once you get all the super cars and such? You will get bored.

It's such a f*cking grind this game. I know i spend hours gaming in all but i feel like i'm wasting my life with this online sh*t xD

 

I only play for fun now. I.E with friends.

It is most certainly a grind, I mean to actually get anywhere after you hit like lvl25, you need to grind or it takes f*cking forever.

Buy another garage and get more super cars lol. But seriously, they really just need to add higher end missions. I feel like I've been playing the same low level missions the entire time.
