Vehicle Screenshots: Custom Rides & Garages (Part 1)

Oh my... after all this time I thought the only way to view other peoples cars was on the "rate the car above you thread" and ive just stumpled upon this.... I have a LOT of pages to go through... Some amazing pics and edits! loving some of the work from you Lowly Gentlemen/Sad Machines stuff . Was just wandering if you guys could help....

 

I have had my Rusty Tornado for a while now and I love taking it to meets as it grabs a few looks as its unique and you dont see many of them! But the thing that really bugs me about it how shiny the paint work is in the colours I want. I went with the darkest brown (forgot the name sorry) to try and match the rusty look. Was just wandering what colours you guys use as through the pages i've looked your Rusty Tornados dont look shiny at all, (I'm guessing only matte colours?) or is it just the lighting/filters in the pic?

 

Also noticed some of the rusty tornados on here have different rust markings? is that just because they are old gen? I think i prefer them

 

I'm sure I will stumple upon some more the further I go back but if any of you still have the pictures, it saves me looking through a few hundred just to find some tornados to inspire me on different colours/combos etc.

EDIT: Also I;ve spent hours trying to find what colours the Rusty Torando spawns in, Hoping to find a dark brown worn one, So far ive found, White, Light blue, Dark Grey/Black? Light Brown, Red. Anyone know of any others?

You guys don't know how badly I want to post 5 pages of everything I have.

@BengeyBoy, matte or worn colors work best for the rusty tornado or anything rusty. Worn colors are available through a GTAV save editor.

you can also use classic colors like cream and Browns etc mess around and find what you like

I can't confirm if it shows up, but you can indeed modify it the same way you do Speedos and the like using iFrit/Charles

Cmdr_shepherd, Can you tell me what the color choices were to get this on your Phoenix? Looks good.

 

Primary is plain 'classic' black, secondary is 'Pure Gold' under 'metals' (Rank 100+). Wheels are just regular gold, and windows are light smoke, just to give the glass roof some definition.

 

Inspired by this:

 

 

 

On old-gen, I used metallic gold for secondary, but because you can't apply a separate pearlescent coat to secondary colour trim, it just looked like regular gold - which in turn, just looks like a light sandy brown:

 

 

Pure Gold metal paint actually has a decent shine to it - looks good in most lights (where 'brushed gold' often looks discoloured in any direct sun/artificial light - i.e., anything other than shade...), and actually looks metallic - that, and it's got that 'greenish' tint that real gold has (like on that real-life Firebird), which the flat gold paint doesn't (although in fairness, that actually looks more accurate for Ruiners based on the black/bronzed-gold scheme of certain '80s Trans Ams):
