One of my earliest (rubbish) Snapmatic attempts (this time last year, in fact - just after the 'stimulus package') - also, duff choice of rims, and no window tint:




Now on new-gen, in hi-def, fully-tuned, with solid rims and window tint - the 'Mattemobile' as it is today:

Good stuff man. I have a Nikon FE2 for film but have always wanted a medium format camera. If it wasn't such a hassle to get film developed around here I'd use it more. Instead I wield my D700 for pretty much everything.

damn dude, FE2's are good cameras. What coast of the US you in? I sent my 120 to a place in NH, it was 33$ for 3 rolls, develop only though. I'll probably start sending 35mm out, used to do it at Sams club for cheap and quick but the quality is eh, or the scanner I use is crap for 35mm.

I'm in Atlanta, but unfortunately most of the places that used to develop film have gone out of business. There's one spot left I know of, but I've only been there once with a roll that got damaged so I'm not sure how good they are. There's a place in Alabama called Indie Film Lab that I heard was good. I also heard good things about The Darkroom, but they're in Cali. However they do upload digital scans so you don't have to wait on return shipping unless you want prints.

I used Old School Photo lab for mine, took like 2 weeks or so with shipping. Was gonna go with Darkroom but shipping to the other side of the country sucks. OSP does scans for $5, don't know the quality though.
