Finally got around to trading in the Dominator - never used it, and like my old Tailgater that I also ended up selling, it was an ill-advised attempt at turning an inappropriate base car into a tuner. Bottom line: pony cars and family sedans are no substitute for a decent JDM import...

Replacement car: a shiny new Maibatsu Penumbra, loosely based on the colour scheme and mods of Paul Walker's GT-R in 'Furious 6' (and to a lesser extent, the similar look of the Skyline from 'Fast & Furious'):

Disclaimer: obviously could have used the Elegy, but I've already got one, so didn't want to double up. Besides, the point wasn't so much 'recreate the F&F6 car', as it was 'find a decent look that'd work on the Penumbra' - the combination of the GT wing and the carbon insert in the front grille end up looking a fair bit like the movie car, at least to the point where the overall effect is similar enough (and rather cool to boot - particularly outdoors in bright sunlight, where the highlights of the metallic blue paint really shine).


While I was at it, figured it was high time I got a clear, well-lit shot of 'Christine', too - now with screen-accurate pure black windows:
