Can they bring back the origional free roam?

Is it "free" anymore?

 

The new systems fun. It adds a goal and seriousness. But to be honest the reason GTA IV lasted so long is because you could do what you want. Free roam is for doing what you want. Imagine GTA Online being able to do whatever you want without having to watch every other player and kill them.

 

For example i got a plane and went to help a guy i landed he shot me.

 

It's hard to explain. Some people will agree and others will say "YoU NeVeR PlAyEd OlD GtA's".

 

It's i dont want to spend my life ranking up in a virtual world having no fun. Just turning into a player that always watches their back and hides. Where's the fun in it. You can only rob the same shops a certain amount of times before you regress into walking in shooting the cashier and talking the money yourself.

 

 

I don't know. I always used GTA as a way of releasing stress from everyday. But with Online it just seems more stressful. Also with no lobby enabling you to disable friendly fire you will never make friends. Or you may take a chance and get killed like me.

 

 

I'm hoping with the content creator someone will figure out how to make a good old free roam gametype. Or Rockstar will realise some players play the game for fun. To mess around with their virtual friends, and real ones. Crews are cool but ranking... well lets see surely in GTA VI we will start again from 0 and all that hard spent time getting stressed out will of been pointless.

 

 

What do you think, should they bring out a original Free Roam game type?

 

The only reasons i can think of them not wanting this is that no players would want to save up for a jet and purchase "GTA Dollars". And guess what... R* wouldn't be making money out of you all the time.

I completely agree with the OP. I'm actually just assuming that R* is waiting to release GTA IV style free roam. I'm probably an idiot for assuming that though. Free Roam was the NUMBER 1 thing I was waiting for with GTA V online. Then we get this crappy version of free roam where you can't turn the cops off.

Yeah haha I left my guy in passive mode for a minute while I went to get a beer and when I came back I witnessed my character get slain by some dude in a car.

In Passive mode, players can still kill you by hitting you with a car or using explosives. This is EXACTLY the same as the free roam mode in IV. I recommend you switch over to passive mode mate of you want the same experience.

I want a free roam mode where you dont lose any money when you die and you can kill other people with no consequences if you do it... cause i keep getting killed and losing all my money.

Yes they should add it. No cops and no losing cash for dying (but you can't make cash either).

I'd prefer a huge 1000 player MMORPG like SA-MP or Multi Theft Auto but I guess Rockstar never thought of that. I ain't complaining though, I love GTA: Online for what it is(pure awesomeness) . I am hopeful for the PC version though
