unknown57 Posted October 8, 2013 Share Posted October 8, 2013 I always chuckle when people give GTA IV's story crap, and praise San Andreas storyline. Secret Agent Triad Gang Banger was just SOOOOOOOOO deep and amazing. And those trucker missions were just some of the best things in gaming. I always chuckle when people complain about a video game character from the hood who can learn to fly a plane. Anyways, IV will always be the worst GTA game imo. It was such a huge step back from SA in terms of gameplay. V is disappointing, but it is much better than IV. Still not as good as SA was at the time though. In this post: I can't come up with a reason to defend San Andreas storyline, so I'm just going to act like the only abnormal thing CJ did was learn to fly a plane. Really, it says a lot about you as a person if you think THAT was the only thing that made CJ Secret Agent Triad Gang Banger man. IV gets a lot of heat too, but it's still an awesome game, def one fo the best just for the online. It was the first Gta online. Unless you count weird pc mods for the older games. GTA IV only stepped up from San Andreas in graphics and engine, and that's nothing to really brag about since it's a DEFAULT expectation that the newer GTA on a newer system will have better graphics. GTA 4 was fortunate enough to be created after San Andreas on a new system so it enjoys certain benefits that were not around in 2003/2004. But if both SA and GTA 4 were made at the same time and same system, it would erase any illusion of GTA 4 being anywhere close to as good as GTA SA because without the graphic upgrade, GTA 4 would be exposed. Irish_v5 Posted October 9, 2013 Share Posted October 9, 2013 The problem is that people expect the same jump GTA 3 made from GTA 2 or San Andreas from Vice City. That's just not going to happen again anytime soon. Also, with how easy it is to get feedback and make patches and such, the developers started listening to their general public, which isn't bad in and of itself, but it causes people to complain about the smallest issues and how they're such 'gamebreakers'. Point is, GTA V is still an amazing game, better than a lot of the other crap out there, and its impossible to make a game that is perfect for everyone. People just need to be happy that R* makes such great games. They should fix the online issues, but I'm not going to complain about it because it was basically a free add-on. Kromix Posted October 9, 2013 Share Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) Once i finished V's story i really had no desire to play story mode anymore and the online is a mess, freeroam is boring and i no longer desire to play that either, can't even get more then 3 people for a race in a lobby, but in IV i played freeroam only for years, RIP in peaces gta v. Exactly. Its so over hyped and people will realise this in a few weeks when all is said and done ... I really took my time with the story line but after 40 hours im done .... not like, might do this again someday done - no, its im never going to spend a second in story mode ever again cus there is simply nothing there ... Now 40 hours for a game is ok, if it wasnt GTA ... Everyone expected more, Rockstar gave the impression of more ... But its simply not there ... sure its a big and detailed world, even impressive in some ways ... But as a game it justs doesnt deliver like the epic games that came before it ... The only thing GTA5 has going for it is the online mode, and that is - as everyone must know by now - a huge mess ... Roscoe182 Posted October 9, 2013 Share Posted October 9, 2013 well im really confused ...... if i do not like a game or think its the worst in its series i do the NORMAL thing and not play and not come on to the game forums where the fans are and then try to tell them why its the worst game ever and pass my opinion off as fact. i didn't like Black ops 2 at all. certainly didn't run to the forums and make a song and dance about it sucked. don't like the game ?? fine there's the door f**k off and let us who like it enjoy it without having to read the same type of stupid post from the same stupid ppl even from some who reckon they have sold the game.. There are no rational discussions, there aren't any provocative arguments, it's all "my way, or screw off." It's a cancer that affects every forum that's ever existed, especially this one. Now, read a few English books, go outside, build some social skills, do your homework, then come back and try to complain about nothing.
