Because last time I checked, grand theft auto has way more details, improved mechanics and a lot more stuff to do then the cod series in the past 8 years or so. futo-GT Posted October 7, 2013 Share Posted October 7, 2013 GTA IV was ok, it was R*'s first HD game an it wasn't bad but wasn't brilliant either, V however is awesome!!! all the people that are moaning about V probably never played any other GTA prior to IV. I was 8 when GTA first arrived on Playstation1 I've been played all major GTA games since then (all on Playstation) and the standout Games are all unique for their own reasons, GTA 1 was cool because it was new, nothing else was quite like it, GTA2 was better only because it had a few other features that GTA1 hadn't got, London was kinda stalemate, GTA 3 was groundbreaking because it was completely new 3d world where you could do more than its predecessors, there was a quality storyline and it had a huge map (for its time), Vice City, well the soundtrack to that game was just amazing it beat all previous GTA's because it was bigger,better had movie star as the vice actor for Tommy V (Ray Liotta) then there was GTA San Andreas which was Bigger again than all before it, way more features and missions, it had more vehicles, and just because you completed all the missions, didn't mean the game was over! it had so much more play ability. GTA IV was again another massive step for R*, their first HD game it was good, it hadn't got as many features as S.A but the graphics were really good in it, it had a deep and sometimes funny storyline and it had 2spin-off versions with The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, both of which were decent but didn't offer any different features. GTA V is amazing, what more do people want in an open world game? this has it all really, people that moan about it are just moaning because they can't complete it without cheats or watching hours of Youtube for hints and tips. I say well done R* this game is so good that all your rivals may as well just close up shop an go away because they will never come close to beating you!!! I'm not making any judgements until GTA V proves it can stand the test of time as well as San Andreas and to an extent GTA IV has. It added so much that IV never even came close to. properties, airplanes, offroading, customizable weaspons/vehicles, more clothing options, haircuts/tattoos, random events, many new vehicles, 3 playable character, etc.. Exactly, why over complicate things then? Free-mode is called "free" for a reason. Do what you want, pick up an RPG from the street corner, blow sh*t up, laugh it off, it's a game. Not get robbed of 2000 every time you die, now I can't afford a pistol, rob a store to get some money, oh f*ck now police are after me because i can't f*cking turn then off. That's why IV's was fun. People disappointed with the game stir up a lot of noise, and make it seem as if everyone is disappointed. The truth is, most people thought very highly of the game, even if it didn't have everything THEY were expecting. People upset with the game like to act as if they speak for the majority, when they DON'T. I don't have any issues with people not liking the game, as not everyone is going to love any product unanimously. The only issue I have, is when people spread Bullsh*t designed to represent a small minority as being bigger than they are. This forum is a magnet for complainers, as is EVIDENCED by the incredible amount of new membership. A large amount of complaints are from "members" who have joined less than 2 months ago. THAT, is a FACT. It doesn't mean that their opinions are invalid, but it ALSO shows that this forum is where everyone comes to complain, and in turn, promote a FALSE theory about how much this game is "hated". When you make claims about what people are "feeling" about this game, you need to take EVERYONE into account, not just the SMALL minority of people who agree with you. Most of the people who say the game sucks probably never played the game and I noticed that this is the only place where you see so much trollers and haters.... but sadly that's how people think in here... they prefer to focus on the 3-4 negative aspects of the game instead of focusing on the 100's of positive aspects... well they end up being the ones that lose after all, if they keep focusing on negative aspects they won't enjoy the game as much as everyone else did. I only focused on positive aspects and barely looked at what everyone is complaining around here and that's why I enjoyed every second of it... Once you finished gta iv there was nothing at all to do. Overall san andreas was a much better game than gta iv. Gta V is a huge jump from IV in terms of graphics AND content. I even have read some people who say it brought them back after the let down of IV and I have a few friends who say that. Yes, i agree, but to clarify something, the haters are not "concentrated" all on this forum. I did my google research and some major criticism came out. In fact, a priori, it would make more sense that this forum would be filled of people glorifying the game because it's a GTA fans forum, so it would be a "biased population". Yes, some members are here for 2 months, like me, but i believe that the people who actually mind joining this forum and participate are mainly GTA fans for years now, so yeah, their arguments are not wrong just because of the join date... It had the graphics but it lacked story, content, had stiff controls, almost no customization, horrible main character people didn't care about etc etc... I don't see how anyone could really consider 4 a step up from SA considering it was a new gen console game for its day. Yet you seem to forget that this is just your opinion.
