Once everything is fixed, R* needs to reset everyone.

I had my character deleted early on.

 

Did I want everyone else to suffer with me? No.... What would that solve?

 

Don't be so selfish people. If I lose my character again, I'll just stop playing for a few weeks(or a month) until everything is worked out. Some of my friends have already taken the game back to the store.

Consider this :

• Rampant, millions of players with character deletion issues

• Violent Duct and other missions "Farming", which Rockstar tried to put a stop to by removing Replay vote option, but people got around that by simply pressing R2 restart trigger to replay. Rockstar now has to make another patch to remove that too.

• So many people with connection issues, who can't play

• And if they can play, lose their characters

• it's just highly unfair to have some players who are high level and didn't get character deletion, abusing lower level people who suffered technical issues that are Rockstar's fault.

So, considering the character deletion issues, the connectivity issues, the lack of stable servers, and the players who abused the Replay system to farm certain Jobs, I think it's fairly obvious Rockstar needs to press the RESET button on everyone, once the game is actually fixed. Consider it the unofficial "launch".

 

Players everywhere were robbed of the "Launch day feeling" of progressing together, everyone is low level, and ranking up together.

You sir, have no idea what you are talking about. People mostly recovered characters, and so what if players are re-playing good missions? OH LORD HOW DARE THEY REPLAY MISSIONS THOSE HEATHENS

Highly unfair to have high leveled players? So it is fair to delete them for it? It isn't like people won't catch up

Even if you reset characters, there will always be people who account share, exploit, farm or whatever that will just outrank you again.

im on my 7th character,i have had 6 characters vanish into the cloud ranging from level 8-21,was i mad yes disappointed yes and but im not losing sleep over it either way i enjoy the game so i will continue to play because thats what it comes down to.

 

if i get into a deathmatch with someone who totally out ranks me i can just leave and host my own and use the skill match invitation option there is really no reason for a reset but who knows what they gonna do its up to them at this point but i doubt they will reset the playerbase

I've not cheated, glitched or exploited anything in the game. I've even lost my first garage and cars/bikes, but I sucked it up and just accepted it as a bug in the system. can easily make the money again. How does any of that justify my entire online progression being reset?

Yet you got lucky, and I didn't. That's not fair. And it's not fair to the millions of other games either.

 

You need to stop crying and accept the launch was buggy, and start over.

In GTA IV you had people hacking everyone to rank 10, or just themselves, and other people who would farm Hangman's Noose constantly to get to rank 10.

As long as people aren't hacking, which there are some, I'm fine with it. Buying money is also the worst form of exploiting to me.

Not an issue - you get put into lobbies with similarly ranked players.

The amount of bad publicity that they would get from wiping the servers alone would prevent them from ever doing it, not to mention countless other reasons. They are a business. They aren't going to alienate all of their customers. They would prefer to merely alienate some of them.

 

Actually, they will receive good publicity for doing it.

 

They have ALREADY received bad publicity for their terrible Online launch. And they committed the WORST SIN in gaming, the loss of characters in a game that's all about progression.

 

The only right thing to do now, would be to start fresh once everything is fixed.

 

What about me, i had tons of problems early, couldnt play, and when i could my characters got deleted, ive lost like 8 lvl 10-20 characters since launch, and now its finaly working fine, ive reached a high level, gotten cool cars that ive spent hours looking for, an apartment etc.

So in your eyes its fair, and good publicity to reset me back to the beginning ?

 

f*ck that, and its never going to happen. They would recieve NO such thing as good publicity and they would most likely kill the game, players who have played for hooouuuuurs since launch will have all their stuff thrown away like nothing, If i where them, (and i am). I would quit this game on the spot and never look back.

This frustrates the sh*t outta me. Quit your complaining it's obvious you were reset and now are just having a winge about it grow up. If anything this will be more fair because there will be more people at lower levels at one given time.

 

Take a look at other games just gonna use the cod franchise as an example their games are out almost a year and still there are level 1's going around occasionally, and they seem to manage just fine? You wont be moaning so much when you can join higher paying jobs and have better eqipment available to you from a higher level.

 

Have put in like 24 hours on my character if it gets wiped by a technical issue then whatever but you can go and get fooked if you think that just because it happened to you it should to all.
