Consider the fact that when jumping Online the game matches you with friends and players of a the same or similar rank and skill level. So the the issue of low level players getting their butts kicked by high level players who's characters didn't get wiped can't even happen.....

I am more simple minded than this. I KNOW I haven`t exploited. I have a lvl 3-ish and a lvl 7 I lost. But those are MY chars, done on MY time.

 

I would have a very hard time understanding why Rockstar relegated any or both of them to 1 (assuming I get my slot 1 back).

I could have easily had a lvl 15-20, since I only played about 4 hours of online since Oct 1st, from fear of losing chars, which I did with one. I wouldn`t understand Rockstar resetting MY OWN TIME, spent after they officially launched a game, regardless of their warnings.

 

I could understand them resetting exploiters (whatever Rockstar classes as an exploiter, anyway), if they got the means, but NEVER my chars, not even 5 minutes worth of gameplay.

Like I said people already put in time and effort into their accounts. Many of which have never cheated or exploited anything. To reset them because other couldn't log in isn't very fair either.

I support payroll servers and databases at my place of work. As in any IT environment, we have varying issues most of the time. Some issues have lead to some employees not being paid overtime on time....so what, we should not pay anyone overtime on time? That's a ridiculous approach.

I think the best way to look at your position would be this. Say we have an older gentleman and a young boy. The older gentleman is rich beyond his wildest dreams because of all of his hard work while the young boy is pretty poor because he started a little later than the older gentleman. Would it be fair to "reset" the older gentlemen because he was able to start earlier than the young boy? Of course not.The same principle applies here. It's not people's fault that they got to start earlier than others. It doesn't make any logical sense as to reset them.

Overseas players = play when Americans are asleep = less traffic on servers

 

Less traffic on servers = Cloud doesn't crash = no mass character deletions

 

 

Meanwhile, Americans are the ones suffering from this problem the most, because we all try go to online, and crash the servers, causing mass deletions.

 

We will see how the majority of americans feel after they start waking up or getting home later in the day.
