That everybody's entire stats should be completely reset when fixed. I was totally against this a week ago, but now I feel it would be the best thing to do. It's hardly fair that we have level 50+'s running around with better everything, whilst level 1's run around with are banana and camper van. Anybody with a rank above 30+, has exploited certain missions (including my self). Wouldn't it be nice for everybody to start fresh when online is fixed?

Also, don't come at me with (it isn't an exploit). Gerald has missions that require more work, yet pay out only 3k. So, clearly the farming mission is a little messed up. Only players that have lost their characters will realize how much this game needs a hard reset, so cross your fingers and hope character deletions continue for all farmers, so they can join us, and witness why we should all be sent back to online laugh day. \o/

Yep, I agree.

I've said this a thousand times already its not like any of this even matters R* has more important things to worry about

Like fixing their game? And giving us a balanced online mode? Okay.. hard reset it is. That is the only solution to a balanced online experience. Fix the sh*t, hard reset online, relaunch GTA online.

You also never gave me proof from R* saying this is a beta. Just because you say it is doesn't mean its true

A reset isn't going to make everyone "equal"

It wouldn't be fun if it was equal. I mean, people are going to rank up quicker than others after the fix. So what difference will a reset make.

Same for when Christmas comes, should they reset everyone again because they are going to sell a lot at that time. So using the logic of everyone who wants to reset now because it's unfair, then they should reset at Christmas as well to make it fair for all the new guys. You guys need to seriously get real or get laid. One of the two.

Those who were grinding before will continue to grind after a hard reset. And that's like 2 kicks in the balls for legit rankers. Rockstar will never do it.

A reset isn't going to make everyone "equal" and to the dumbasses throwing the word exploit around get a dictionary or better yet play Maplestory compare duplicating items using "Storage NPCs" to a mission restart which has yet to be declared exploiting by R*

Oh look i just posted an example of exploiting.

Until R* declares mission restarting an exploit you can all shut up.

Lol. From what i can see, this community cares about one thing, and one thing only. Themselves. The community is what makes a good game, this community does not want to stand together, and take a fresh start for all when it is fixed. sh*t, i'd even go grind my GTA and reach level 50 by weekend, and accept a full reset just to show how much this game needs a hard reset.

It's the fact that I care about everyone else, (and yes, my own time and effort) that I think this is a bad idea.

It is balanced. You say it isn't. Do you have proof? Or are you afraid of numbers?

LOOOOOOOOOOOL! Do i have proof? Take a look around, bog trotter.

Think about it. Are you level 50 right now? did you get to level 50 right now? Do you even put in more time than those who got to level 50 right now? So a reset happens, and those 'level 50's' will still probably play more than you and in a few days be back where they are at. So what would be the point? You go in gta online a few times or more everyday, When did you run across a rank 50? most likely very rare

It's pointless.

It will be the same in one month you know, there will be high level and low level. Forever.

Not because you feel "punished" for loosing character (and I'm sorry for that) that anyone else who has been lucky enough to not loose it must be punished as well.

I'm level 29 (an a bit) so nearly level 30+ if I did more missions, and I play 100% legit. No exploit, nothing. I do races (and win races) a lot that's all, but that's not exploit, it's progress.
I don't even play that much with my crew or friends, I play mostly with randoms, yet I'm at this level.

I can't play 24/7 GTA Online, but people having more time to play can easily rank up to 50, 70 and up. If they do a lot of missions, even by playing legit 100%.

I'm lvl 43 have not exploit anything im totally against.....i can happily sit here and grind on games... played enough Mmos to be doing grinding, why don't you stop complaining since the servers do match you up with similar levels and just start grinding by doing the mix stuff availiable.

But i have to admit im not very pleased with all the team deathmatch modes and the races

some will always be lower lvls anyway and there will always be higher lvls ganking, but mostly the game do try to match lvls so your point is invalid :p

I love the argument that because someone will get the game a month from now, we should reset for them too? That's hilarious. It shows the intelligence level and likely the age as well of the individual.

When you purchase a game a month, two months, several months after it's launch, you accept that you're late to the party. That's on you. Whether it's because you were busy during the launch and didn't have time for the game, or you were tight on money and waited for a sale, whatever the circumstance it's on you and you alone.

But when people purchase the game at midnight release, and they expect to have a fair chance at the "race" that is competitive online play with leaderboards and rankings, it's kind of f*cked up that Rockstar allowed some players to continue the race while they pretty much scooped up others and brought them back to the start. That is F*CKED UP.

Now I'm sure non-competitive players who are currently members of the Lucky Few club are going to say "I don't care about rank and leaderboards etc" well that's good for you. But there are thousands, hundreds of thousands of players, who do. So basically this is what you get: either Rockstar do the right thing and start fresh for everyone, no bugs no exploits no deleting characters, or they willingly allow people to have an unfair advantage in a competitive environment. Taking the latter route will define Rockstar as a bunch of clowns who cannot handle a proper online launch and I hope it dooms their microtransaction plans.

They won't reset it. Right now GTA online is in the top 5 for worst release in history. A reset would make it undeniably number 1. Rockstar won't let their one of their flagship IPs be marked like that. It won't happen so STFU.

I would agree with this logic if they always grouped everyone together, but the fact that R* made the sessions to make sure that you are always around people around your level nullifies your argument.

Like someone said, just wait til someone unlocks the RPG and Minigun in free mode. While the lot of us are barely touching level 30 well have a bunch of self righteous level 120+ loving it

I agree completely. I have had 4 characters get reset and i had my highest lvl yet ( lvl 15 ) just get reset yesterday. now im trying to restart AGAIN and get into an LTS but i have level 30's with Assault rifles and snipers and armor while im running around with a pistol and no armor. How is this fair for the people that bought the game on opening day but are so underleveled its not longer fun?

Honestly, I'm getting to the point, that even if Rockstar restores my character... I am so far behind people, I don't think I will even play. It leaves a terrible feeling in my heart.

Reset everyone, or I am done with Rockstar forever. I will even forego RDR 2. And this is coming from someone who has loved R* since I was young, as you can see by my join date.

Nothing less than a fair, fresh start for everyone. Today is Day 3 of my character still missing, and I haven't touched the online because I am still waiting for a restoration. But it's taken so long, I don't think even that will be enough. I won't buy Shark cards, and I will sell my game and I never want to hear the word Rockstar again.

Why does nobody understand that the game tries to match you up with players at a similar rank?

this x 33'333'333

This game tries to do a lot of things, problem is it has failed on every level.

Reset everything rockstar, if and when you get it fixed...

I'm still without my character & I feel thats a bad idea to reset. Also my character was level 40, and I haven't exploited anything. I simply did the missions given.

Yep honestly this part I bolded right here is exactly how I feel. Even if they restored my rank 45 character exactly the way it was when I last logged in, I would STILL be days behind where I SHOULD have been had Rockstar not f*cked me over this past weekend. At this point in time a total reset is the only way to undo all their wrongs.

This is simply not true. On day 2 I was around level 25 and was doing deathmatches facing off against rank 4-10 players. It really wasn't fair and here's why: your rank = your max health. So players rank 5 has 5/100 max health stat. Player rank 50 has 50/100 max health stat. This alone is a major unfair advantage that you can only get from time. Time that Rockstar stole from hundreds of thousands of players. This calls for a total reset in and of itself, let alone the glitchers, exploiters etc.

No.

My friend and I were about the same level when my character got deleted. I am now level 12 and he is level 40 but that doesn't mean he should get reset.

Man, I haven't even played Violent Duct yet. Got a random invite to it earlier today and accepted to see what all the fuss was about... f*ckstick host and his friend kicked me from the joining menu. :/

Anyway, I'm at rank 26 now. I don't deserve a reset. I've done nothing wrong and nothing to you.

I won`t find it very funny to find my lvl 3 and/or lost lvl 7 reset. As little time it has invested, it is MY time. And there was no post or official statement about Oct. 1st not being official launch, nor about any resets because Rockstar has a bunch of incompetent techies.
