How to avoid paying insurance tax on people's cars you destroy as

I was in an online game and I jumped in a small prop plane that I found at the airfield by Trevor's house, and some pompous asshole drove up along side in their supercar and paced me as I was taxiing down the runway I thought he was trying to race me, but he ended up killing me before I could take off(plane probably belonged to him idk).

Needless to say I was pretty pissed, so when he ditched his supercar just off the runway, and took off in the plane. I respawned in that area and made a b-line for his car, but I was locked out of it, it wouldn't let me in. Pretty sure it was a Cheetah too. But he thought having an expensive car would deter me from blowing it up to avoid breaking my own bank. But NOPE.

The moment I realized I couldn't steal it, I just went ahead and started trashing it. Shot out the tires, the headlights, all the windows, everything. But then I realized there was a Pay N Spray just down the road and he'd be able to repair it so it'd be like I wasn't even getting payback on him. So I just started letting rounds off in the hood until it caught fire, and the moment I saw it explode I simply just dashboarded.

When I got back online, I never had to foot a bill, I never got a message about bad rep, nothing. Because I wasn't in the game to be held accountable at that point and what I did never had time to save on my character since I dashboarded. So I think he was the one who had to pay the repair bill on his super car since I'm pretty sure the game then holds him responsible since he's still in the game, and I'm not.

So he basically got triple whammied. Had his car blown up, had to foot the bill, and then had to go out of his way to pick the car back up from the insurance depot. Well you might actually be able to add another whammy on top of that, because he likely had to use real money to get that car, so when he had to pay for the repairs, he had to come out of pocket by paying with his real money. Bad move on his part.

I didn't know if it was, do prop planes randomly spawn at the airfield or no?

If he had a problem with me flying it, he should've said something on his mic. How was I supposed to know?

But that's besides the point, the last thing you do is outright kill me and act like everything is going to be cool after that. I don't let sh*t like that fly.

Sorry, but if I don't have a mic (or am in Party chat), and you try and steal my sh*t? I'd have done the same thing. Then I would have put a bounty on you, then called a Merriweather death squad after the bounty was taken.

It wasn't his plane, if it was, you wouldnt have been able to get into the plane in the first place (since you couldnt enter his vehicles)

I'm guessing it wasn't his plane... why would you be able to enter his plane but not his car??

I might have to test this method out :)

-steal guy's plane

-guy tries to stop you from doing so

-get mad at guy for trying to stop you from stealing his sh*t

-wreck more of guy's property

Yeah, if it wasn't his plane, f*ck him. Murder his car to death. Then him. Then his car again. Then him. Repeat as needed.

Thats what I was thinking. I think he was having a shootout with another player for it or something, so I went and jumped in it as that was going on.

Better idea take the cargobob, pick up his car and drop it in the sea :3

Building top would be about 10x more inconvient.

Story time. So I like getting the special car for Simeon, and instead of dropping it off, I just rig it with ignition explosives. Today I was in a party chat, and my friend joined the game, but not the party. I had just pulled the car out of the shop fresh with explosives, and parked it in a parking spot outside of the shop. My friend drives by a few minutes later, and goes inside to modify his car. About 5 minutes later he comes out with a brand new fully modded out car. He realizes Simeon's car is right there. He pulls his car up to the end of the line of cars, and gets in the trap car. Seconds later a domino effect of a very explosive nature occurs, ending with his car!

Neither party pays insurance when you shoot a car till it's on fire! So you dashboared for no reason. You basically gave him an easy kill while being a D-bag & then wasted your money on ammo blowing up his car & had to leave the game. I'd say that's about the biggest L for you OP!

Thanks for the laugh!!

Meh as long as he didnt destroy his own car (the only time the owner pays for his vehicle being destroyed), you really only inconvenienced him the phone call to moores and the 60 seconds it takes to start and back out of a random job to get his car back. Dont break your arm patting yourself on the back

You don't get bad sports for people who left the session and cars that remained.

Guys, there's no point writing posts addressing the op.

He made the thread 13 months ago and hasn't been active in over a year.

Yeah but destroying a car costs money and just gets you reported. Not worth it.

I see this as only useful when you're about to switch off your console for the day but want to give the guy you've been fighting with a last 'F-You'
