Yoshack_Fyre
I tried piloting the stunt plane as Franklin and had a horrible time. So I go to the airport and steal a jet, fly around for an hour. I did many many barrel rolls, backward flips, and climbed and dived all over the map. My Flying stat BARELY went above 20. I know that there will be a flight school later, but I want to know how to raise my flying stat while in the cockpit flying around. Barrel rolls just won't cut it apparently. Short of getting in a plane, rubberbanding the trigger down and going on a weekend vacation I don't see a realistic way to max out the flying stat. I was able to get my Stamina and Lung Capicity on all my characters up to 100% and it only took about a half hour for each stat each character. I haven't figured out a fast way to raise Strength, Special or Stealth. Maxing out Driving will take time but it's doable. Getting Shooting to 100% was simple. If you do every gun range challenge you're at 100% before you're done. I assume Special raises the more you use your Special. Stealth seems pretty useless. Does it raise if you sneak around in Stealth mode constantly or do you have to knock out people from behind while in Stealth? Finally the most important, STRENGTH. I found a gym at the beach full of weightlighting equipment and musclebound men and women. but I couldn't use any of it. I remember the gym from San Andreas, which was easy, but it sucked how the stat deteriorated if you didn't keep going back. I assume later in the game a gym for raising strength may unlock. I'm only 26% complete. Or is the only way to raise it getting in fistfights and playing massive amounts of Tennis? I assume Golf might raise it a little too? Sorry for the long post, it started out as just a question about Flying. but I didn't understand the other three stats either so figured better ask and get it all out there. I hope the post wasn't TLDR!
Rule of Two
The first time I tried flying with Franklin I took off from the airport and landed within a minute or two and my flight ability immediately "ranked up". I don't know if repeatedly taking off and landing will help you level your flying ability quicker but it's worth a shot.
Yoshack_Fyre
It's possible frequent landing would raise it faster. Unfortunately my flying skill isn't high enough to land easily. I did manage to land the private jet at the dirt airfield on my first attempt though, I was pretty proud of that. I don't think I EVER successfully landed a PLANE in any previous GTA game. In fact I'm SURE I never did. Side note, the plane I LOVED the most was I believe in San Andreas. That super boss military jet that could hover and take off diagonally without a runway. I guess I lied first paragraph, because I was able to successfully land that plane.
Yoshack_Fyre
Any help with ways to raise ability stats?
Revoemag
Strength rises with fighting and sports. Stealth rises using stealth and stealth cover, raising this will increase the speed you move in stealth and cause you to be more quiet. Driving rises with good driving, not hitting fellow drivers. Shooting rises faster with frequent headshots. Stamina from running and walking. Flying seemed to rank up faster for me using helicopter and buzzing around the buildings downtown. Lung capacity rises from swimming underwater, will rise faster if pushed to it's limits. Hope this helps
Fisha695
Every 10 minutes you fly your flying skill goes up 1%. Completing Flight School with all Gold will max-out your Flying Skill.
