Too many dirty drivers

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is majorly irritated by a nice clean race turning into a sh*tstorm when a dick enters the lobby.

 

Why hasn't there been options implemented from day one to overcome this issue?

 

A simple ghosting of player cars mechanic or even a 5 - 10 second slow for heavy impact with other players would not be difficult to put as options for the host on the pre-game menu.

I agree. Although sometimes I don't mind a little bump 'n' grind. It's the a-holes that drive in reverse, trying to smash everyone, once they've gotten stuck in last place that irritates me the most.

Not if you're in the middle or back of the pack on a small road. Once I miraculously managed to drive straight through a wreck of cars, I've never been able to do it again..

 

I once met a douche who didn't care about the race at all, he just kept hitting me off the road and away from the points.

point to point or 1 lap tends to discourage the reverse drivers. that said its strike frist or get knocked out these days out there.

In a GTA race fair enough but a normal race should be played fair. i had 2 end of the spectrum last night. the 1st guy tried to push me off twice, the second time he went spinning out, luckily for me. The second guy spun me out on the last corner when i was in 1st place, he then waited to let me win, great sportsmanship. lets hope they do some thing, don't like the ghosting idea but a speed restriction or penalty stop sounds like a good plan!!

Something I've noticed is that the most minor corrections when you're being hit are the best ones, they usually go spinning out and I just get a sweet powerslide.

I always try to lay back the first min of the races cause there's always huge recks n everyone crashes n giving me the chance to get ahead

Yeah it pisses me off when I'm in first place and some tool pits me to take first.

Yeah I'm amazed at how many cocksuckers don't appreciate a legit race. I've been going fair for the first race when i party up, after that I just go ruthless.

This is a big problem in the races. I do think the ghosting idea works in many games such as F1 but that kind of racing is taken a lot more seriously and accidents are a lot more unforgiving. Implementing a 5 second slow (for a lighter impact that's still dealt with enough force to obviously cause loss of position) and a 10 second slow for a heavy impact (that's obviously intended to 'cause a train wreck) should be added as an option for the host before the race begins.

 

Right now, I still enjoy racing with a good lobby that races fairly but those races are very few and far between.

Also, sometimes I can't help but bump someone. If I've got the line into a turn, and you come up on the side of me that's going into the turn, and I hit you, that's centripetal force at fault, not me.

Now that I think about it... crashes happen in real life racing all the time. Plus, when everyone does it, it usually gives me 1st because I try and avoid them, and get ahead as they're all spinning out.

Crashes happen yes, but causing people to destroy there cars or causing someone to spin out right before they cross the finish line and win is blatent cheating and isn't what racing is about. Racing is about someones skill behind a wheel and not someones moronic attempt at winning a race by wiping everyone else out because they can't drive for sh*t.
