I'm sorry, but I forgot... what was "Violent Duct"? Is it a Survival? Or is it a Mission? If it's a Mission, what do you do in it and how much is the payout?

It's a mission. Kill Vagos and Lost, steal coke, deliver to Gerald.

 

Takes less than 2 mins, pays out 9k.

I wouldn't recommend joining someone during the mission. If you join and spectate, then you can't restart the mission. It will bring you to the next screen where you can choose the freemode option. So you will have to get the mission from Gerald again.
