how do you rob other players?

im always hearing about how i shouldput my money in the bank or i might get robbed but i dont even know how to rob or even how to be robbed.

when i kill another player all they drop is about 100 dollars...that aint robbing either.

This seems to be broken at the moment. I believe that, ideally, you will drop all your money when someone kills you. When it's working, it may be percentage based, but I'd honestly prefer an all-or-nothing approach since we have phone banking (for some reason, why are there even ATMs?) and everything can be purchased via debit.

 

There is a warning in-game when you have over $5000 on you; contrary to popular misconception, it is not because you're only supposed to drop money when you have more than that. It's just warning you that you have "a lot" of cash on hand, the $5000 value is arbitrary.

 

At any rate, it isn't currently working. Everyone drops $100 when they die, regardless of what they're carrying on them. I keep over $20000 cash on me at all times, I only lose $100 of it when someone kills me (and yes, the person who picks it up also only receives $100, I've had people test it). Pretty lame, but hopefully it'll get fixed at some point. Nothing would make me happier than to die and see all the money in my wallet gone.
