I love that mission to...but it's mostly because nobody seems to know about the thousands of dollars laying around.

when i play it with others i go for the hacking since i'm the one who knows when it's time to go, ditch everybody and rush for the airport, grab buzzard on regular spawn and proceed to blow up the two other buzzards.

 

i'm not givin people a chance to blow up the coke by mistake.

yup, crates by the first trucks, crates by the computer, crates in the hangar.

maybe nobody knows because those who arrive first never leave any traces.

Exactly - the various stages to it give it an almost 'cinematic' feel and pacing. You've got the initial hit, getting the 'clue' of the sat-nav, the tense hacking 'scene', then the whole thing culminates with the hangar shootout and flying after the boss to take him down.

 

Honestly, whoever at R* created the mission needs a damned medal for their efforts. Here's hoping the smart cookie responsible works on future GTA O missions (and if they're not currently assigned to the 'heist development' team, they should be...).

I love this mission, I wish more people wanted to play it.

 

The way i do this mission is i provide air support while the teammates are on the ground doing the hacking of the computer and then i fly over to the LSAirport and sweep the area clear for them so they can come in and get the package than i run for the plane before it can take off.

 

When i do it solo i do it the same way but i wait until i have no more enemy spawning then i'll land and hack the computer.

 

When i do it solo it usually requires two buzzards to finish it on my own on hard.

 

I wish they made more missions like this, Dry dock and the Stocks missions

This mission is great, my favorite also. I can spend 10k in ammo for half an hour playtime if I want to fully enjoy it lol. Or get a buzzard and spend 200 bucks...

I like to place a sticky on the plane before taking the coke, so I can detonate it as its taking off in front of me, or I'll let it fly for a little towards madruzos.

I usually enjoy this mission, but had to rage quit it after playing a few days ago cause I kept blowing up the coke with the buzzard... ._.

I wasn't very good at this mission until I saw someone use the Buzzard attack chopper and

thought that's what I've been doing wrong.

 

It is a good variety, a bit of everything in one mission and I can now do this solo very well

but to answer the post about blowing up the coke I always get in the buzzard after collecting

up the coke.

 

So go to hangar at LSC airport. Set sticky on the Buzzard on the helipad and the crew boss plane,

go to the hangar, snipe all the guys inside, run up stairwell, collect coke, apply stickies to the

vehicles, run to Buzzard and then detonate and fly off to complete mission.

This is my favourite mission in the game, but it's also quite challenging, and I don't do it regularly as you need to have people who know what they're doing in order for it to be worth it (can take quite a while, if you then fail it's a massive face palm)… Definitely one of the best contact missions in the game.

I don't know why this is the only mission like this to be honest. The first time I completed this I actually felt like I had completed a proper GTA mission (and hoped more high level missions would be like this) and not just done a section of a mission (which the others feel like).

If I'm in a public game I like to split off from the group and grab a buzzard to help, but if I'm with someone who knows what they're doing I prefer to do it on foot.

Also, lots of extra money boxes around the mission can make it quite profitable, although if you look at the amount of time it takes compared to payout it's probably not worth it, but if you aint bothered about that it's great.

Yea LS connection is pretty good but my favorite mission right now is stocks and scares. It has an awsome shootout, hacking, and safe cracking!!! Also it pays like RTR.

It's one of the better missions, it's just the crappy payout for the effort. Needs to pay a constant 22k.

Last time I checked, it's 15k plus whatever you pickup on the ground (think there's another 15k total).

I just soloed LST on hard and indeed it pays 15k, but I picked up 8k from the crates (and I checked) no more. So max you get from it is 23k, not toooo shaby.

If you don't blow up the plane before heading over to the hangar, then you're doing it wrong. The plane spawns from the beginning so just destroy it and you wont have to chase it.

I sometimes sticky the plane and wait for it to fly down the runway then detonate as soon as it takes off for cinematic fx. Of course I only do this with friends and crew, not with randoms as they cannot be trusted.

^^ Lol I remember spending an obscene amount of time the first few times i tried it. I can do now in under 10 mins easy with friends.

 

One person goes to the drug deal while others go get buzzards. The two buzzard teams head str8 to the depot and the first guy should have gotten the gps location by then. After the two buzzards have cleared the area and the hacker is in position one buzzard heads to the airport to take care if the big boss contact. By the time they get there we have the comp hacked and then we head str8 for the airport. Once the main brunt of the coke dealers are dealt with we send a buzzard back to Martins.

I use my tank when im lazy. Lololol mission is fun the run and gun way. Just wish it paid more for replays. 15k for a long misaion or 18.7k for rr.

That buzzard has never moved for me didnt know the vehicles were already spawned in but the enemy buzzard never chases me

You actually don't need a Buzzard to complete this solo, in fact it is more fun not to use a Buzzard. Just hide in the container in the middle and take them out one by one and the health kit will respawn.

 

Also as Gaffa mentions, take out the Plane at the end of the runway before heading to the hangar and also the Buzzard at the airport where the helicopters normally park, I just shoot the tail blades out to disable it, but you can blow it up, it will save you time. Then hit the hangar and sniper everyone.

 

I didn't know there was a couple of grand that can be collected when destroying the cars inside, the buzzard normally destroys the cash until I did it myself and was surprised.

 

I found it much more fun doing it myself than with a group of people going in with guns blazing, try it, you will like it.

 

As far as I remember, I got $22K and about 3400 RP for my efforts.
