Buying vs Stealing Cars Online?

What is the point of buying cars online?

 

I was able to steal a bravado bison and get a tracker and full insurance on it, but its also for sale on the internet for 30k. Whats the point of buying the cars?

You can modify the higher end cars once you buy them. They are yours.. you can modify them to your personal preferences. It will spawn next to you when you need it anything i've missed?

Some cars cannot be stolen, they will say they have a tracker on them therefore you have to buy them.
