savagejustice85
I agree the game can feel quite empty despite having the largest GTA map to date. The lack of interiors for places as basic as Burger Shot, being unable to rob stores, small downtown/south LS area, interacting with peds almost always results in them running away screaming, no cage fighting or gang war activities, not many random encounters... it's little things like this that stop the game from feeling like a living breathing world for me. Going to the Tequi-la-la and finding out it was unenterable is when it really hit me. The debut trailer just implied so many cool little features that never came to be. It may not have been pre-rendered, but most of it was just cutscene animations made specifically for that trailer. I still think it's a beautiful game and appreciate all the dedication that was clearly put into it. I just think it could have done with some more interesting activities and places to visit. If it was console limitations that caused this, hopefully the next gen version will have some new features. this,i agree many little features that add to the game are not there for the most part Edited October 13, 2013 by savagejustice85
Bonnano
The thing that pisses me off about this game is the lack of f*cking wildfires, come on, you can add really good cultural references to aid SoCal's feeling, but not wildfires? It's one of SoCal's hot topics (pun intended), I guess they could have waited it out for nextgen, they could have handled wildfires like a boss. jongameslap
Of course we're all entitled to our own opinions and beliefs here - however, Grand Theft Auto V represents five years of hard work, thought, and dedication from an experienced team of dedicated developers who have learned how to properly use and manipulate current-gen hardware to create massively ambitious game titles that usually exceed general expectations, and with GTA V they've done that and more. Grand Theft Auto V is an extremely ambitious game, especially for it being available to play on current-gen hardware such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The way I see it, GTA V was a huge milestone, something really special to the video game industry, and us gamers - and unlike some others, the devs behind this game actually delayed it, which indicates they actually care about what they're making, and most importantly their fans, and that's something I can appreciate. A game is never complete, and never bug-free.
Vercetti42
How is it 'rushed' when it took 5 years to develop? Sure, it's missing things but that does not mean that it is rushed.
thivakar
I've played RDR which had better wildlife that felt more alive. I've played SAMP online on PC and a server named Crazybob's cops and robbers allowed 200 people to play at once and it had everything that GTA 5 online had(stocks, houses and etc) and evene more like buying alarms, buying pets to protect your house, bank, casino robbery. So for me and some others GTA 5 feel doesn't really make us say "wow" rather " how come XXXX is not in ?". It is a good game though, i will play it again. But just because Rockstar spent a lot of time and dedication to developing it, it does not mean I must automatically praise all the time. I think the flaws pointed out here in V are well justified. killahmatic
i honestly can't see any car that could be classified as a lowrider other than the manana in this game. i also think the game lacks military vehicles and unique vehicles like for example more than one single jet fighter I wont disagree with everything you said, even if I do disagree with a lot of it, so I'll just respond to a couple. Lack of lowriders are likely due to the fact that the game takes place in 2013. Low riders aren't nearly as popular these days. As for the lack of military vehicles, I think it has a nice selection of them. You comment about the one fighter jet is only because you saw two in the trailers, or that would've never been a complaint. This game is different, but not rushed. While it (thankfully) doesnt have every feature San Andreas had, it has many more features that San Andreas didn't have. lizardman563
HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A PERIOD, OP? YOUR RUN ON SENTENCE IS A BIT HARD TO READ. Literally all I saw was "and there is this and that and then it was this over there and the map feels small and the forest is useless because other forests are there like why is there such a small forest i like lowriders and there arent enough in the game also gta iv had customization with cars no actually it didnt gta v customization felt like iv's i think that this game is rushed even though i have no proof substantiating that blah blah run on sentence" Edited October 13, 2013 by lizardman563
luckyshot666
Yeah, I was expecting more forest too, and wildlife, bears.
Official General
Yeah, I was expecting more forest too, and wildlife, bears. The wildlife was pretty weak in GTA V. It just felt half-done and lazily implemented. There were barely any wild animals to begin with. In my opinion, all of that huge countryside and wilderness was kind of wasted. Rockstar should have just focused on making Los Santos more detailed with interiors to enter, and more random action happening in the streets. Ola441
I don't think the game was rushed I think that Rockstar has their priorities bleeped up... And screwed over people for the crappy GTA Online. this is the kind of size i wanted (this would be possible even on current gen) with a little less trees what i mean is a part of the map that dosn't have roads just forest I agree with you about how the map is bigger but doesn't feel as big as rdr.
