007_eleven
I'd like my BeeJay XL cars to be better at offroad driving, in fact i'm sitting in the car with 3 players and they're complaining about the handling. Does changing the tires have any effect or is it purely cosmetic? I haven't noticed any difference on the stats columns but has anyone tested it? Average white guy
Tires do affect a vehicle's off-roading capabilities, so for the best off road experience use heavy off road tires.
C4-_-GIBBfather
I noticed that the grip bar on Wheels never change, it is the same on every Wheel so i guess it is purly cosmetics. wich is a huge shame. I would want the tyres to have 2 sorts of grip. onroad and offorad so you realy feel some difference. Now it is pointless to spend 15k+$ on rims when they are as good as 1k$ rims. I guess it will be tuned in uture tho rockstar want you to spend your cash. Now I am happy with my ceap rims, but i would invest for some differnce in grip and gameplay. Image you can fix the offroad accpect and drift just by tuning the grip on sertan tyres in the shop
TomBishop
I'm still not sure on this, I have been using cars to drive over mountains and desert areas and I have found that the off road tyres do help but depending on the car your using. I was using a gauntlet (muscle) with off road tyres and that flew over all terrain but with stock tyres it felt like it struggled more. obviously it could be my brain wanting the tyres to make a diffference so much that I think they are Also the type of car used makes a difference. using a highly tuned sports car I was still unable to get over the mountain even with off road tyres aha of course it could just be me
Tacymist
I don't think it matters. I did some offroading in a taxi the other day, didn't seem to struggle going up hills with its stock tires.
