Just let me have confidence that my progress will not be erased and I'll do it again, but as long as I know everything I am doing is going to be deleted at any time there is no point.

Apparently you missed the part where I said that "you could play on a clean slate without fear of your character being deleted" this would also extend to progression loss and not saving.

 

So instead of saying "okay, we pretty much beta tested this crap for the first week, and R* have everything under control let's all start fresh bug free and fair" no, you'd rather skip along happily knowing you weren't part of a major percentage of players suffering from total reset, and dominate over these poor players when they finally do get forced to re-roll and start from scratch.

 

All parties involved are selfish, at least our method is fair.

The only selfish people here are the ones asking for a reset, you lost your stuff so now everyone has to in order to be "fair." Get outta here.... There's nothing wrong with replaying a mission to earn money it's like that on many games. There was something wrong with the reward money the game gave you, I think it's been patched but it's not anyones fault for it but Rockstar. The people who replayed the mission no matter how easy it was; they invested the time played to play the same mission over and over again. It's not like it was so easy you could just run in and grab it and run out there was enemies and they shot to kill... if you put it on hard anyways.

 

Anyone that thinks Rockstar is going to reset all accounts, should accept the fact that it's not going to happen. People have earned everything and I felt good when I bought my apartment and cars, clothes and guns.

they need to fix all the exploits and do a clean wipe for everyone. i have a lvl 40 character with an apartment and wouldn't mind seeing this happen

Bet you. With all the glitches/exploits gone wild they will have to. Once they patch this game and get things running smoothly I almost guarantee they will wipe everyone for all the people who haven't been able to play or have lost characters. We will all start from a clean slate.

 

Also, to those people who exploit and cheat let me explain something to you. This game is ABOUT making money. That's the whole point. To feel a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment when you buy a shiny car or a purty apartment. As people mature and lose that need to have INSTANT GRATIFICATION we start to understand its about the journey not the end. So when you are level 999 and you have every car and the best apartment you are the ones who come into the forum yelling GTA ONLINE SUCKS THERE IS NOTHING TO DO!!! Just some advice.

I don't mean to be political but that's not Socialism, that's tyranny (no country in the world is a true socialist state, they're all tyrannies calling themselves Socialist but they're just lying to their people for the sake of control. No true socialist society would have rich and poor people, everyone would be the same).

 

I consider myself a socialist (not that I know how to make socialism a true utopia, but I'm a Trekkie and I definitely believe socialism is the way to true utopia), and I can't stand how so many people think of Russia and China as examples of Socialism. Those countries have only ever been tyrannies (since turning "socialist").

Why would they need to wipe all characters in order to make it so that everyone can play "without fear of your character being deleted". Pretty sure they're working on fixing the system so that everyone can have faith in the online saves AND people can continue to use their existing characters.

 

Regarding the rest, this isn't your typical shooter - higher rank doesn't = dominiation like it does in alot of other games. Sure there's an slight edge with available weapons, but that's pretty much it. You expect R* to wipe everyone just to balance one aspect of one particular mission type that a minority of the user base is effected by? Just will not happen and nor should it. Would alienate the majority of their player base and they would lose thousands (prob more) players. From a pure business perspective it would be ridiculous.

 

The solution is compensation for those effected, not punishment for everyone else. Seriously its not that hard.

I play ARPG's. Path of Exile in particular and do you know what you do in that game? grind the best areas (docks, ledge, fellshrine, etc) over and over and over and over and over.

 

It's called grinding. Every MMO type game has areas that you grind. Replaying the same thing over and over and over.

 

It's not cheating as long as you still have to put in the effort to do it. It's called grinding.

Fair enough, I knew it wasn't completely appropriate there, but left it anyway. I meant in the sense of imposing a socialist system upon us, not that that is what we have. To even us out artificially.

There's no point, someone else being rich or higher level doesn't affect me. I'll earn my money and level up through methods I find enjoyable. If someone wants a quick path to having a nice car, so be it.
