Should R* compensate players who have had there Characters deleted?

I'm not sure what they should do to help current relations..but I do know doing nothing won't help the current anger that's currently there.

 

There have been players who have lost not just 1 character, but multiple characters (after retrying).

 

They have lost there microtransaction purchases, and there hard earned money (game wise) from missions/races/jobs, etc.

 

They have lost there rank that took them a while to get.

 

They have lost there weapons, there weapon mods, there clothing, everything. All which cost thousands of dollars.

 

They lost there apartment which some have paid 400,000 plus dollars for. They have lost there modded cars, there garages.

 

I know many players who are just f*ck IT, I'm done with this bullsh*t and have zero intentions of grinding all over again due to this character deletion disaster.

 

So what should rockstar do to maybe tide over people and their angry feelings towards them, and recreate trust that Rockstar can make working multiplayer games in the future?

I'd be fine restarting a character with a money and rank refund- as soon as we re-complete the tutorial we get back our rank and all the money we had earned in the game. Giving us the first paid DLC at a discount would be nice too.

They should probably just give back the amount of cash we spent for the people who lost their characters, since that stays the same throughout resets.

 

Easy way to identify is to check whether the cash earned for that character matches the cash spent/lost and the amount of banked cash.

While it certainly sucks for those affected, myself included, no I do not expect or am I advocating for some form of compensation. I did expect a certain degree of this. Theyve worked on it and its been improving. Ive been through worse. This is a game and I play for an escape and entertainment. Now way am I going to allow myself to get so pissed off as some. Frustrating, yeah. But I move on from it quickly and know it'll only get better

I desire only a functional online game that properly saves progress... Then fix other issues like player kicks, uber cops, and other silly issues that just about everyone wants fixed.

Since my stats say i have 85,000 rp they should apply that to my character if i have to make a new one. I also want my $205k apartment back.

I can tell you don't pay any of your own bills OP. Compensation is when you are promised a service with a certain guarantee and paid for it.

Like my power goes out for longer than outlined in the service agreement I signed at hook-up, I will be compensated for the utility charges I spent on time I was not able to receive power.

They'll only give you back the difference of the total earned compared to total spent. If you earned 100k, and spent 98k, you'll get 2k back. That's it.

I've been deleted 3 times. First time, was around level 8, so it was ehh whatever. 2nd time, was not really deleted it was just demoted. Was level 15 when I logged off, then when I returned I was level 11, kinda annoying but not horrible. Last night I played a sh*t ton since things weren't bad anymore, so I thought, then I log in today and had no characters, BUT still had $80,000. Now I am just pissed that I have to level again. I know its just a game so I realize it isn't the end of the world. Just sucks, I really want to play but I know everything I do will probably be for nothing.

All I really wan't is enough xp added to my current character that was on my level 24 character so at least I don't have to grind.

 

As far as the terrible launch goes, I think we should have some compensation, most companies who drop the ball this much usually do.

Well I was level 32 before my character went missing. Chill; there is no need to try to cause trouble over the internet.
