Issues Connecting

Anyone else having issues getting into a game? I lost my characters earlier today and I'm trying to start a new one; but I can't even get into the tutorial. Similar to the issues prior to patch 1.02

 

I am using PS3.

Yep, was having the same problems connecting. Now my character appears to be lost, so I'm not sure if it's worth making a new one yet or waiting it out...

Neither of you can get online to start a new character either?

I lost 5th guy this morning, 6th guy about an hour ago. Tried again & noticed my bank was empty but still showed $65k on SC so i quit the tutorial race 1/2 way through cuz im not losing my cash too. I could finally connect after faced with cloud server unavailable message & discovering my guy gone again.

 

I think im done until R* sorts this stuff out. Really disheartening as online was what i was looking forward to most.

Having the same problem. Pre-Patch 1.02 I'd played for hours in a row and had been able to get on fine, then my character got deleted. Been gone for 3 days now and not to mention I can't even get online anymore, I create a character and then "Failed to host GTA Online Session" and in solo session it's "Failed to join Job or Activity"
It's bloody launch all over again ffs.

I've been having issues joining missions, races and deathmatchs since release. Every time I join one and the host starts it...I time out immediately. (My NAT is open too)

f*cking hell it's like Groundhog Day on here.

 

Must try harder to make original threads.

A quick fix is due, a possible factor which triggers the bug is hitting 'retry' on the cloud error screens, etc etc. They're seriously looking in to restoration for those whose characters do not return etc etc Try again in a little while and see if the character appears etc etc
