Roaming bank heist absent

I normally wouldn't post or join a forum, but not being able to try and rob a bank alone for money and try to escape in single player roam is a huge disappointment. It was a huge disappointment in GTA IV also.

 

If you can rob an armored car, you should be able to rob a bank. The interior environments of all the main heists exist, the vaults are there, why not be able to do a smash and grab in those environments? Once you've beaten the game, to remove that possibility doesn't seem to make sense to me.

 

I only make this point because I looked at the massive list of "suggestions" by people, and this issue is rated #36.

 

Beneath #1: "Have car accidents appear around the city. They can result in traffic jams, delays, and emergency services responding."

 

#4 "people stopping because of a car accident, getting out of their car, and calling an ambulance to go to the hospital."

 

#17 "have the ability to be a limo or taxi driver and actually pick up people from their houses or apartments."

 

#26 "Calling the cops to actually do their job. not to just come, stare, then drive away.."

 

#30 "People doing activities around the neighborhoods. (Basketball, Dealing drugs, Gambling... Etc.)"

 

REALLY???? These were all voted higher than robbing banks? We're concerned about the appearance of car accidents at random? Or being a taxi driver? Or calling the cops to do... what? It's gta! If they're after you, they're after you! What do you want them to do, issue traffic tickets when you run a red light? And above a game play feature, we want to be driving around and see kids playing bball in their driveway!

 

Apparently, I can't even blame rockstar for the lack of free roam bank robbing, because we as gamers, are clearly idiots. I mean, majority rules, and we rule that the aesthetics trump game play.

And they definitely took that cue because this game is more aesthetics then gameplay.

I am still looking and digging around the internet as deep as possible, hoping and praying that I am missing something here and there turns out to be an actual game here. I beat the game and did the 100% checklist, but there is nothing to just "do" in the game anymore. They hyped this game up so much and gave the illusion that you could do so much more, then they took my money and ran...not without spiting in my face first (gta online).

It honestly feels like a dream and that I am going to wake up and have something to actually do in this huge world they have created besides "looking at all the cute little visuals and sunsets".

Well, heists are going to increase in number in GTA Online, when they finally get them into the game. Of course we also have to wait for the online to work perfectly with the basics before anything else is added.
