Is it just me or does it take forever to level up your skills online?

Longer then usual, yes. Probably done on purpose to lengthen game time.

It's just you, I feel like the time it takes to increase a skill is just fine

Orrangejuice

The fastest for me was probably driving, simple hour of doing races maxed it out.

Yeah, it takes much longer than in SP.

Shooting - use the shooting range of ammu-nation. This is the best way to upgrade your shooting. You want this skill as high as possible to store more ammo.

Strength - sports and arm wrestling are the best ways to upgrade it. This is also important, because it reduces the damage you take.

Stealth - Not an important skill, but good to have. Just silently takedown enemies with a knife. Remember to turn your mic off, because the NPCs can hear you and will turn around.

Lung Capacity - Pretty useless. If you want to upgrade it, just keep swimming underwater.

Flying - Really doesn't seem to affect flying that much. This is hard to level up.

Driving - This is important. Remember to do wheelies, stunt jumps, and drive in the wrong lane as much as possible. I find the best way to increase it is to drive in the middle of the wrong lane with a motorbike, or just do races.

Whar does the driving stat actually do though? I maxed it out earlier from racing but could not tell the difference.

Better handling, I think. I don't know what else it does.

Possibly, I remember in San Andreas it was noticable when you had low driving skill but in this I can't tell.

You won't be able to tell since you're levelling it up.

Or it just barely effects anything.

I actually like that. It makes it feel more enjoyable when you level up your skills. If only I could keep my character!!!

Flying : what got this skill to start leveling up for me was steal a chopper, drop in the military base and steal the jet. you will see when in a plane and looking at the map, specific runways at the two airports ( YES, there are two ) will have blinking yellow dots. land on these runways. After my second landing that is when my stat jumped up for me.

I'm level 24 and my Shooting, Stamina and Driving are all maxed. IMO it is way too easy to level up skills.

Mind telling us what you did?

Do the "Arms Race" race (Start -> Online -> Jobs -> Host job) solo and set lap to 50 or so. It took me exactly 35 laps to max my skill out (I was almost done with the bar nr 2 out of 5 when I started).

Driving and stamina are easy.

I recommend leveling shooting right away

Having an ammo cap under 700 sometimes doesn’t cut it
