Before you call something boring you should consider how millions and millions of people spend 3 or 4 full days watching this and doing nothing else but watching it I wouldn't say its boring. It is only boring if you don't know what is going on.

Mechanically it would be a pain in the ass to make work with the game.

 

It would be a pain in the ass to have any real team game, dismissing tennis when it's a solid 1v1 game ignores the biggest reason it's a great choice. Not only would you need all the separate roles, separate areas to play the game in and getting enough people to play it at one... It also needs to be fun, which is hard enough in a fully fledged cricket game

 

Xsports like skating/surfboarding etc that can be used in free roam also would be infinitely more contributing to the game. Then if you want to bring sports into the mix, stuff like basketball that requires way less players would still be better.

Exactly this all of these people hating on this have never experienced it, if they tried it for an hour they'd be hooked and would know what all the fuss is about. I feel sorry for them because they are missing a very important part of any respectable adult's life.

 

EDIT: Smoking is a huge part of spectating at cricket and that is also already in GTA Online so that is another mechanic already built in

Have you ever played a sports game ? It isn't simply slapping a bunch of animations together from other underdeveloped activities.

 

Adding in games such as bowling, darts, air hockey or tennis is one thing. They're simple activities that rely on 1 player. Remember basketball in SA? Yeah that's cricket would be like if they were to impliment it. You and a guy throwing a ball.

You just need a bowling interface like the serving/golf swing and a batting interface just like the golf swing as well, and then everyone else is just out in the field running around picking the ball up and throwing it back at the stumps or to the keeper or bowler or whatever. What is so complicated? Cricket is a very simple game we don't need to add a bunch of garbage like 50000 different plays and stealing bases and et cetera

 

What part of 21 npcs do you not understand? I have yet to set that many npcs walking up and down the street at one time, let alone playing a f*cking sport. Current consoles can't handle it. End of story.

 

What 21 NPCS are you talking about? It will be all players, 2 batsmen playing, 11 fielders playing , 1 umpire, 1 leg umpire, and a match official. That is 16 the exact size that GTA online supports. Batsmen further down the order will be spectating and running water onto the field, clapping by pressing X, doing sledging by pressing square, and eating onion bhajjis by pressing triangle. There are no NPCS and I already outlined how the players will add up and work

Cricket is a 22 players sport. It would require a server to support 22 human players. That's 6 more than they can currently support because of the limitations of the consoles.

Me either, even after they've called stumps I end up fighting off the sleep to talk about the exciting moments I've seen. But some of the fans don't quite have the stamina, I've seen a few people catching 40 winks in the crowd before but they still pay to turn up every day, I'm sure they wouldn't if they thought the sport was boring.

Do you guys think bouncers should cause damage if you get hit in the ribs over and over or even in the head? Such as missing a pull shot or mistiming it, or leaving a ball that's heading right at you. I think if you take a few of these you may need to get pulled out of the attack in game and get reduced to 50 percent health to account for the bruised ribs or concussion from the head shot.

It could even be that you have to react faster in your swing because your reaction time is "dulled" by the loss of focus. We all know when you get hit with a bouncer you think another one is coming so it takes you longer to play the right shot since you are preoccupied.

 

And I would pay 24.99 for that DLC but I'd really want some detail put into the spicy foods

 

Another idea would be to add a sky sports feed into the in game television so we can watch matches in game and also we could watch other players playing the game from our safehouses.

One of the best ideas yet. How did we take 5 pages to think of that? It seems so obvious. For 24.99 I would want a lot of choice between different Indian foods with varying levels of spice that could have interesting effects on your character such as more visible sweat and perhaps even a cutscene of your character drinking lots of lager to cool his mouth and rushing to the toilet when he has overdone it.
