Why not? The more activities the better but i'd prefer to keep this thread just about adding cricket to GTA O. I +1 paintball though i'd definitely play it.

 

 

We also need to flesh out the man of the match mechanics because this can be a lucrative way for your best cricketers to earn jp rp and cash in game, as well as gain the bravado and arrogance stat too.

 

A ton should put you in serious consideration but we also must consider wicket hauls, strike rates, and overall sportsmanship when selecting a man of the match because we don't want to just give it to power hitters every time.

 

Maybe some sort of table like this :

 

5 points for a 50

10 points for a Ton

3.5 points per wicket taken

1.5 points per catch taken

 

then award 7.5 points for sportsmanship based off a vote at the end of the game after the boundary cones/rope are picked up and the pitch covered and the winner will be man of the match

 

 

 

As you can see in the picture in that match Shane Watson was NOT LBW for 10 runs so he was awarded man of the match

One more mechanic i'm working on is the prematch, post match huddles and even for a huddle right after you take an important wicket.

 

We'll have the same singing in the shower/store robbery/stripper flirting bar and the captain will have to give an inspirational speech on the microphone maybe something like this.

 

"I've been playing Cricket in Vinewood for 15 years and if I thought you all sucked and we couldn't win this, I wouldn't bother trying. Keep your line and length tight, he cant deal with anything above waist height as we all saw. Now pull it together, Vinewood Cricketers!!!! Once this next wicket falls they will come down like dominoes. Keep your focus. On three give me a big vinewood. One, two, three --- VINEWOOD"

 

and then the bar is full and you'll gain a +5 team spirit bonus for the remainder of the match.

 

Just a draft so don't be too critical i'll work it into something more professional before mailing it to my contact at rockstar

Deranged? Because I love cricket, love GTAO, and would love to see them mixed so I am making a proposal with fan input and trying to send it in to get it noticed. I don't see what the problem is or why that makes me deranged.

OK so one more point i'd imagine Rockstar would want to have a match announcer so off the top of my head ive come up with two celebrities we can choose from to hire to do the match commentary for the biggest Tests we have in GTA O (naturally for a casual match no announcer needed)
