It's now approaching 30 hours my Slot 1 main character has gone MIA. Slot 2 keeps disappearing and reappearing just fine though... f*cking figures.

My 4th character disappeared today. I played single player for a bit then said "f*ck it" i reboot my ps3 and tried getting online again and my character was back. Played for about 2 hours, I saw the cloud icon so it did "Save". I got stuck on a loading screen like always, had to reboot and voila!! Character is gone again and so is my 100+k.

 

This sh*t is getting old.

This is so laughable. I have gotten two characters to level 10 and made enough money between the two to buy a pretty nice house but i have nothing to show for it but a blank slot and 80k in my bank. Good job Rockstar.

just create a new 1 its gone man they want every1 to have a clean slate im doing tutorial witth 4 guys now stats are actually working in RSC my thing is why wasn't this integrated two weeks ago

My character never disappeared from R* social, just lost a few lvls/cash. It had disapeared on gtao though.

 

I never tried to create a new char. I always pressed circle to quit if i got message "cloud servers are down"

 

Tried to play gtao and it said no char, i quit and went away for a bit. Came back and my char was there. Played a bit, levelled up, got kicked from mission and couldnt connect. Checked social and it hadnt saved my progress. Checked a min ago and it had updated.

 

So it different for everyone i guess, but just try an be patient, never create temp chars or connect when cloud is down.

Thought it'd never happen to me, avoided playing off the cloud and everything, each time I exited using the Quit GTA Online option. And now I'm prompted to create a new one.

 

Honestly, if I don't get the original one back, I'll probably lose interest and the motivation in trying to recover everything.

 

Shame.

i hope at least, if we have to make a new character, that R* allows us to keep the money that we earned

 

if not they better compensate players in some way

I would wait and not create a temp.

Mine was totally gone from SC but just recently came back.
