Cloud servers down for longest time :O

It would be great if they stopped the whole character deletion thing, already lost em 3 times now. Won the first race with my first two, and won the first last team standing with my first guy only once. I'll never have this kind of luck again.

But are you sure your progress is saving? How often are you seeing the small yellow spinning circle in the bottom right hand corner of your screen? That is the indicator that progress is saving to the cloud servers. I'm connected and can play, but I haven't seen the cloud save icon in a long time. It's not saving.

If i make a character in slot 2 where i didnt have one will my main character (slot one) which is no longer there be safe?

It was fine this morning, went back on and my characters gone.

 

So are they gonna fix and bring back out characters or just prevent them getting deleted again?

Have you tried hit retry button. I did and i got in after a couple of tries. And i got my character back too. Hope this helps.

So lost i dont wanna sleep yet Just feel like playing online, should i make a new character in slot 2? Also @dahojds i dont have the option to press retry D: Single player > start > play gta v online > just sends me to the character screen

When the servers go down it will be because rockstar is modifying, patching & optimising them. This time next week gtao will work flawless

making a character in slot 2 is fine, servers are down so it wont save. unless your main was in slot 2.

When im in single player i go to the crew under online. If it say social club error there the servers should be down. If you can see your crew there and no error mesage i think the servers are up and running. I've got my character lost too before they shut the seevers down and got to the character select screen but as soon as i got there i pressed back to single player. Then i logged out from psn and logged back on and started the online mode from the startupscreen. Then i repeated that until i got the cloud server alert and pressed retry until i got in.

Okay thanks mate, if my character does get restored do you know if it just appears back or do i have to do something
