Is there a workaround for not being able to fire from any vehicle?

On the Xbox 360 you hold LB to shoot any gun you can use in the vehicle (For ex: UZI SMG)

Can't smash the window from inside the car. I've even tried getting out of the car, shooting out the drivers side window and that doesn't work.

Have you tried to press X to change to 1 handed weapon? You can only shoot 1 handed weapons while driving.

Yes it does, unless you've changed the controls or your controller is broken

When holding LB (not to be confused with LT) you start firing and just need to manual aim it. You can also push down on the right stick to look behind while shooting.

 

Use the blue button on Xbox or square on PS3 to change the selected weapon. Unarmed lets you do the fingers.

 

First time you press it he should smash out the car window, second time he'll start firing. Careful with grenades, hold on too long and it can blow up in your hand.
