The Jard Man Posted October 7, 2013 Share Posted October 7, 2013 Ever since that new update yesterday, no shops can be entered even if I go to the barbers (where I remember where one is) the hairdresser isn't there and the door is locked, even if I go to the LSC garage the main door doesn't open when I'm in my car? This happened for anyone else? I have turned the console off and on again also. Yup, this happened to me too and I hate it. No new clothes, tattoos, barber, mod shop. They are all unavailable. I have tried everything else, even re-installing the install disc. Deleting the updates will not fix it, this was tried by someone else in the other thread. From what I can tell from comments, this bug is due to a savegame corruption caused by the 1.02 update. The 'fix' is to go back to an earlier savegame....or if you are like me and you have none to go back to, Rockstar says "too bad, you will need to start over" I had already finished and 100%'d the game, so this caused me to shelf the game I was looking forward to messing around with different cars and mods....well not anymore ------ Update --------------- To put my mind at ease, I tried the following to try and resolve the issue i) Replayed a previous random mission from the menu. Note: Customs shops are back on the map during this replayed mission. After I completed the mission, the game returns you back to your normal game (It takes a checkpoint before loading up). Customs shops are still missing ii) Deleted the update data from the console's (x360) system menu. Loaded up the game and when prompted to update, cancelled and let it load up anyway. Once game was loaded, customs shops still missing iii) Quit out and updated the game when prompted (thinking maybe I had a dodgy update). Game loaded up and customs shops still missing So in a nutshell, it is definitely a savegame corruption as replaying a previous mission proves its not the actual game files. I guess this issue will never truly get fixed, as it does not seem to be affecting everyone, and for those who are "Too bad, restart your entire game" This bug has really left a sour taste in my mouth for gtav, as I was ready to award it my goty...but not after this. Having no ability to mod cars, muck around with hairstyles, tattoos and clothes is one of the major features of the game, the way Rockstar are treating people with this issue is appalling TL;DR Nothing fixes it, revert to an earlier savegame or restart your game entirely if you have lost them all Edited October 15, 2013 by Yerolo Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
