Selling cars to LCS and the 'limit' before a car is 'too h

Firstly, It should be noted I've not tried this with bikes and I believe bikes are a little different in their criteria for price since a 15k bati RR is apparently too hot to handle.

 

This is also not official in anyway, this is purely my theory from observations.

 

1. It appears that the sale price of a car to LCS is 10% of the car book value. The way I've thought about this is that a car I usually sell to LCS is the Oracle, this is 80k new from the internet and in mint condition sells to LCS for 8k. This also seems to be true with other cars (the baller sells for 9k and is priced at 90k new) so I'm confident this is correct.

 

2. The threshold point I believe is 99,999$, again, the reasoning in this is that a baller can be sold for 9k and has a book value of 90k but a comet with a book value of 100k and following point 1 therefore has a sale price of 10k cannot be sold to LCS.

 

3. It's said that the 'cooldown' period is 30 minutes between sales, I'll test this at some point to confirm it

 

4. If you 'own' a car and wish to sell it it's book value must not be above 50k.

 

In light of this here is a list of what I believe are the best cars to sell to LCS and the prices you'll get from them:

 

Lampadati Felon GT = 9.5k

Gallivanter Baller = 9k

Lampadeti Felon = 9k

Obey Rocot = 8.5k

Ubermacht Oracle = 8k

Benefactor Schwartzer = 8k

Albany Cavalcade = 7k

Ubermacht Zion Cabrio = 6.5k

Ubermacht Zion = 6k

 

One car I have yet to try to sell is the Lampadati Felon GT, this has a book price of 95k so in theory will sell for 9.5k and be the most profitable car you can steal and sell to LCS, someone will have to confirm this first though. < Confirmed

Interesting find. I only found out yesterday about the Gallivanter. This whole time I've been ignoring that car thinking it wasn't worth sh*t (derp). I tend to pass by them alot.

I can confirm that it does indeed sell for 9.5k. It's the highest selling car I believe.

^ That's an interesting question, my presumption is that it's 1 in game day but I can't be sure of it so I can't say. Sometimes it seems I can sell cars again extremely quickly and other times it seems to take forever, once I get a certain answer I'll be able to tell you.

Every 30 mins real time, I've tested this by selling the car and shutting my box down for 30 mins

I always sell a car, save and got to sp, switch off the Xbox, watch eastenders with my missus and go back on the Xbox, grab another vehicle and sell it, that is how I come to the conclusion it's 30 mins.

Also, you can not sell a car that has a resale value of over $50,000.

Well I think 1 day is 24 minutes or close to it which brings your 30 minutes pretty close to my original thought, I'll try it and see next time I sell one.

 

Shame you can't do it more often as this would be much more profitable and fun than the endless grinding of missions.

Making money in everything is incredibly slow *funny how they said it would be considerably faster than single player, another blatant lie from RS*

 

It's slow so you get fed up and give in to buying a shark card/s

I've been just going with the idea that if the car it's based on in real life is worth a lot of money, then it's probably going to get a lot of money in the game. That's how I ended up with a Felon as my first car - figured a Jag would be pretty good. I kept looking for something better, but have yet to find anything. Only shame is I can't really mod it much.

A fully modified Lampadi Felon GT sells for 54,300. And I can't sell my Voltic which should be worth 15k because it is 'worth over 50k'.
