Ways to retaliate without getting "bad sport"?

Does anyone know a sure way to fight back your attackers in a way that it doesn't label you as a bad sport but gets the job done? Please share.

In IV, my favorite was the old 'tell ____ to get in your helicopter via message, fly out to sea until you can't see land anymore, crash it into the water and drown yourself, and then watch them try to get out and be stuck in the middle of the ocean unable to do anything anymore until they quit or drown ten minutes later automatically.'

Earlier I did my bad action of the day. Usually not my type but that occasion was too tempting to resist.

Sniping people on the golf course and around from a rooftop. Got 15 - 20 kills from there. Some were fighting each other, I shot at and kill both sides.
Didn't get any bad sport warning. Just some people tried to kick me.

The bad sport mechanic is a bit broken if you ask me. What's the point of sticky bombs if you cant use them to blow up other players in their vehicles? If I wanted to, I could get in my personal vehicle, damage it a lot, then force people to attack me and blow it up just to make them get bad sport points. Rockstar needs to fix it, but I'm not sure how they can. It would make more sense to remove bad sport points entirely. They don't really make any difference.

That's it? As long as there is no vehicles involved everyone is free to do as they please without any repercussion? That makes no sense.

Just shoot them. You won't have to worry about the bad sport rating just by killing players.

lol just got bad sport on ps3, blew up 2 peoples cars in the jet. must have finally done it. but i bet half the 'bad sports' bullsh*t has come from "leaving" (sh*t connection) with jobs, which i had no current jobs...
now a 3 day bad sport status lol, preaty much means i can't play with anyone for 3 days just because R* has turned girly. gg lol
