Disc Unreadable and Freezing

So I got this game last week, and it has not left my Xbox 360 since I got it. Brand new copy and everything. I constantly have dis unreadable errors and sometimes straight up freezing. Anyone else having these issues? I have looked it up and there are a couple people with the same problems, and I have heard there is a fix, but I'm not too sure.
