Xbox right now for me too, calm down. I get all Rockstar online services are down when I try to find my friends via the menu in SP too.

Beyond a joke now. We just want to play!

 

Mine appears to be working now, though about an hour ago i made about 20k in a session, lost connection, now i don't have it

I'd gone down a rank and lost aload earlyer. Scared to keep trying to get online incase I loose my character again!!

I'll be trying to take a break for about a week. I have a blast on this game and intend on playing it, but I know most games like this take time to iron out the server issues. I played Defiance for 5 months, so I know all about patience! LOL That dev team is still having the same server issues now that they had on the first day of launch. They don't have the money that Rockstar has though, so I expect this to get fixed on GTAO.

It's not down, many people are in lobbies.

 

When it told me that clouds services are unavailable and gives you 3 options. I just pressed Square [] & it brought me to a lobby :D

Not in my experience. Everyone on my Live friend list is getting on fine. Yeah, you're right, these forums are full of mainly PS3 owners (who always get shafted) and not as many Xbox owners, but the type of people who comment on games forums arent indicative of the kind of people buying the game over all. Millions bought it, a tiny fraction of them post on the forums, and only the most vocal of them are complaining all the time. Where's your evidence that it's the majority? Quote me some figures?

 

I just hate it when people try and speak for other people...it's like when you hear someone say "I think I speak for everybody here when I say....." - don't attempt to speak for anyone but yourself.

It works fine here. PS3 in Holland. Just logged off, saw the "orange save circle " so I hope everything is right.

 

But I'm going to stop playing online for now, until the game gets stable. Don't want to lose this char and the stats. Hell, I have to work anyway.

Down for me, luckily I saw your thread and saved out to SP. I'm grinding lung capacity. If I lose this character I'll be sad, grinding stats is great..until you're wiped.

Yeah I love when people act as if it's running smoothly because they can play. I have lost 2 characters in the last 2 days. No the cloud wasn't down, because the game always tells me when the cloud is down and gives me the option to continue without saving. Today, after hours and hours of gameplay yesterday, I get on to find my character gone and both character slots set back to lvl 0 with no money.

 

Trion isn't near the dev team that Rockstar is, and they have never had issues with people losing characters on Defiance. GTAO runs 100 times better than Defiance once you are able to play it...and looks 100 times better too. BUT...BUT Trion has never had people losing characters with days and days of progress. If you did lose something, they had a way of checking to see if you had what you say you had. It took them way too long to get it back to you, but they were still able to confirm you claims. Why can't Rockstar do this? I'm discouraged after now having lost 2 characters with several hours of gameplay each. I'm done with this game until it's fixed. Maybe a week from now will be the best time to try again.

 

Once the character loss issue is resolved, this game is going to be a blast. I think the money is just right. I've seen way too many complaints about too much grinding. This is a mini MMO. It's meant to have some grinding. The difference in this game is that most of that grinding is a blast, especially if you play with a clan/crew. I don't mind grinding when it's fun as hell to do so.

If they go down while you're already connected then you're fine and things will save normally. However if you log out then you will loose your progress.

 

He is not lying mine saids cloud is unavailable.

I've lost two characters in two days. I am f*cking done until this sh*t is working right. I made up my mind. It's pointless to play if your progress keeps getting deleted.

 

It's says the cloud is down for me as well. (PS3)
