f*ck man, I swear, it's like you guys have never played a grand theft auto game before. It's not a game where we go around hugging each other. It's a big assed free roam environment for causing havoc in it.

 

Deal with it.

Shooting NPCs is not the same as shooting human players.

 

 

 

 

There's no difference between shooting NPC's and players. Majority of NPC's have weapons, and majority have better weapons.

I have like 86 players killed and only 13 deaths from players. Thats good fun and not bad for my K/d ratio either. But that character is gone now and I will be strictly killing players until they figure out how to fix this deleted character bullsh*t

There's no benefits to killing in Freemode, even for trolls. There's usually only negative effects to the player who was killed, and actually, negative effects to the killer.

 

Killer effects

Max xp you gain per kill: 100 (I don't even know the minimum because I haven't killed in Freemode, see no reason to)

Sure, maybe this is how you rob a person, I don't see you getting 10k, and even if you use this tactic to farm for cash, your skills stay ultimately sh*tty.

Wasted ammo

Chance to waste extra ammo

Chance to damage or total person vehicle

 

Victim effects:

Pay Hospital bill

 

 

 

There's no scoreboard so you can gloat, either. So I seriously don't see the point in it. It seems entirely more logical to go back to GTA4 and kill people in Freeroam than here. And no, I've actually never been killed in free roam, shot, yes, but I've never paid any Hospital Bills.

I kill in paranoidness, When I see someone roll up on me, I shotgun the f*ck out of them and speed away.

 

If I SEE a bounty, I will commit killing of the bounty if it's high enough.

 

If I see a dick being a dick to someone, I will shoot that dick.

No, only blowing up their personal vehicles. If you're trying to kill them while they're in their car go for the well placed headshots rather than vehicle damage.

A.) The most obvious answer is "for the fun of it". And it can be fun, it's true (that shouldn't make being an absolute arse okay, though). B.) It's just as obvious that it's exactly the chaotic and paranoid environment R* intended it to be. C.) There are many systems in place to help you deal with it; such as changing sessions if it's too rowdy, the map CLEARLY displays other players - learn some awareness - "safe" mode (admittedly it is kinda gimped), play with friends or crew as back up and try to stay together (most "player hunters" prefer to pick off strays and are wise enough - or cowardly enough - to avoid groups).D.) It is not necessary to play on crowded servers - select friends only or crew only session (if you have a crew) even if you have neither online or playing because then you will have your own private server with everything available.

Personally, the only real problem I have is when players use cheap ass tactics like waiting outside stores (in particular Ammunation) to blow you away the second you walk out the door, because the map switches so that you likely won't know they are there before it's too late. There should at least be some honor, even among enemies. Which brings up my last point: the game itself considers other players as enemies. You don't have to treat them as such, but you should be prepared for them to treat you as such.

I don't do a huge amount of free roam killing but It's pretty fun when I do. I like to find creative/fun ways to kill people. Sometimes I shoot people with a pistol a few times then take off running around a corner and plant a sticky bomb while they are chasing me down and when they come around or take cover at the corner I blow them up!

 

Also like to practice sniping on people It's more satisfying when you snipe a random person on the streets than it is in deathmatch.

 

I open the map and when I see a dot in a store I know they are robbing it so i go toss a grenade or some tear gas up in there.

 

 

Also I get friends to put a bounty on me so people will hunt me down then I hop in the train and fend off while it goes around the map.

Well today I was sitting outside of a pay n spray putting C4 on the entrance, and blowing up everyone who thought they were going to go in there. It was quite possibly one of the funniest things I have done in this game. Bad sport left and right quite comical. The entire game ended up in a vendetta against me. Eventually some guy suicide rocketed me in a jet. Sure I lost like 20k worth of c4, and it was nothing but "detrimental" to my character, but it was entertaining. This is a good reason I think for doing anything in a video game, fun.

Wish there was fewer dickheads on gtao though robbing a store, player walked in killed me my feltzer gets impounded, then simply dissapears,one dick move cost me 145k not to impressed.

I hunt criminals, sometimes I stand outside stores waiting, and then I kill them just as the guy has got the money (or just before as the cashier is dropping the bag..)

I then take the money as a reward for a good deed.

The bounties feature help get the dickheads away, there was this guy who kept sniping people outside ls customs, I placed 3 consecutive bounties on him until he left.

It also doesn't pay because whoever you kill will kill you at least once in revenge. Or if it's somebody like me, you will be hunted until you leave the server. If you kill some random dude and he kills you back, both of you lose and there is not net gain of money. I think this will be figured out eventually and it will keep random killing down far better than it was in GTA4.

the way i react to random meetings with other players is;

1- keep a reasonable distance and stay near to cover (especially if you have a bit of cash not in the bank)

2- don't draw your weapon unless they draw theirs

3- don't shoot first unless provoked or (occasionally) I'm bored

4- if they have a headset/mic on try an communicate with them

5- when in doubt know your way out!

 

and i'd like to talk about a nifty little con i witnessed today its kinda off topic but it still has the 'mark' being killed so i guess its still kinda on topic aswell ahah :S,

so earlier today i heard some unfortunate person being talked into buying a stolen fighter jet from the military base by two others, the mark and the con men agreed to meet at "trevors runway" and so i decided to head there and see what happens, the mark is waiting on a sanchez, one con man is flying the jet around and the other is behind a orange car (which is modded out quite a bit) opposite the mark and myself and im sitting in my vapid dominator spectating the deal, the con man and the mark are discussing a price between 30k-40k and even i was thinking "how did he get that much? ive only got 14k in the bank and ive been playing all day!" then the deal goes down, the mark gives the cash and as the fighter jet lands the mark is killed when he approaches it and they start firing at me but i floor it and drive off.. after that there was a lot of bitching from the mark and the two conmen left the session.

i myself think that was a clever little way of making a bit of money but it would have been easier to rob the fighter jet by yourself instead of buying one from some random player haha
