To Those Who Kill In Freemode

I saw some blip during the tutorial about "playing nice," or you'll be thrown into rooms with other people who don't play nice. I assumed that was a warning to not go around killing everyone, or else you'll be playing in terrible rooms all the time?

 

Am I wrong with this assumption? That's the only reason why I don't kill people in free mode, because I don't always like playing against people that just want to hunt you down all day.

I was driving around and I saw another player running from police on foot so I pulled honking my horn and stopped next to him to pick him up. He just turned and shot me then took my car and left.

 

Another time I was just out robbing a store and as I ran in another player started shooting me from outside while I was holding up the clerk. The doors were still flapping open and I was able to see him taking cover behind a tree. Luckily I was able to get a head shot on him and complete my robbery.

 

That guy would have been better off covering my escape and jumping in my car because I would have shared the loot with him. Instead he got capped for being a buster.

if you dont shoot the other one will, better to get 100$ then paying a bill. but sometimes the game says u have more then 5000$ go to a bank or someone else can steall it.... well how the fck will they do that? i never got more then 100$

so as long as the game says to me go to a bank or youll get robbed i wil kill other to hope for that 5k

Killing randoms is fun hence why people do it.

 

It adds to the game I find too; knowing that if you need to get a car to Simeon undamaged for max money you have to check on the map if there are any other players on the route you wanna take, If so plan it better to avoid them.

It have need nearly an hour to find a car for the export garage, lose the cops, bring it to paint and spray and to the harbor. A dumbass troll who called "chicobremen", has wait in front of this garage. First, he blocked the entrance, than he shootet at me. I was in passivmode and quickly jumped out of the car and I quickly hid behind another car, so he can not run me over.

 

But than, this little a-sshole has stolen my car and drive it in to the ocean.

 

After this I have give him a 5000 dollar bounty and he leave the server.

 

Can I report him for bad sport? I just have his mail adress (chicobremen@hotmail.com) from google him and his xbox live name "chicobremen".

 

I hope Battlefield 4 will be released pretty fast and this idiots move to the BF servers.

 

//Edit: And yesterday I just wanted to help someone who get chase by the cops. I landed with my helicopter a few hundret meters in front of him and waitet so he can come in. Bust he has just shot me dead and has stolen the helicopter.

There's no benefits to killing in Freemode, even for trolls. There's usually only negative effects to the player who was killed, and actually, negative effects to the killer.

 

Killer effects

Max xp you gain per kill: 100 (I don't even know the minimum because I haven't killed in Freemode, see no reason to)

Sure, maybe this is how you rob a person, I don't see you getting 10k, and even if you use this tactic to farm for cash, your skills stay ultimately sh*tty.

Wasted ammo

Chance to waste extra ammo

Chance to damage or total person vehicle

 

Victim effects:

Pay Hospital bill

 

 

 

There's no scoreboard so you can gloat, either. So I seriously don't see the point in it. It seems entirely more logical to go back to GTA4 and kill people in Freeroam than here. And no, I've actually never been killed in free roam, shot, yes, but I've never paid any Hospital Bills.

First off. I'm with you on this. I don't really see the point. Go around killing people in Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch, I just don't see the point in Free Roam.

 

Second: Are you really THE Zone? Because then I gotta give you credit for your work! Keep it up!

I'll go ahead and call professional hitmen from Merryweather, while I chill out in my apartment and smoke out of the bong.

 

I see these people as "unique" NPC's to make new contacts and such or whatever. Except, they're not unique. They're all usually the same, can't trust any of them. I try to help them out by getting in the way of police then they shoot me. SOME people have been cool and I didn't have to shoot them. Trusting people in this game will get you killed though.

f*cks sake man, stop whining and play SOLO or INVITE ONLY. Its pretty simple actually and rockstar added these modes for a reason. Think about it, this isGTA man and in FREEROAM its everyman for himself.

 

Id love to hear the watercooler talk at the rockstar offices. They should just release a statement that says "shut your ingrate whiny f*cking mouths. Play solo or invite only for f*cks sake".

 

I dont always shoot on sight, ive had quite a few encounters staring down another player with guns pointed at each, cautiously waiting to see if one will shoot before teaming up together and causing ruckus. Other times I want a laugh and will shoot. f*ck it. The thing I wont do is bitch when it happens to me. I am in freeroam and im well aware of the risks involved.

They should just turn Passive mode into the same thing that happens when you pause the game. Make your character/vehicle phantom for every other player, so you can't get shot by then, can't get killed by them when in a car, and you can't harm them either.. Passive mode is completely useless because the second you step into a car, you're a big red target again. Only time you wont get hurt is if you're on foot. And well... Big map.

You should only kill if a player shoots at you. Due to the problems we all have experienced with deleted characters & haveing to start over I see no reason to kill someone with a low rank. You have a SMG & you kill someone who only have a pistol. It changes the game. Now you're on the hunt for they arse! lol...

 

I was killed after waiting about 10 mins to get in the game & after I re-spawned my only mission was to make them leave the game. All good tho. The motto is & always will be DONT TRUST KNOW ONE!

The point is killing AI gets boring. Everyone in here has slain THOUSANDS of AI people through the years of gaming. Its boring. Killing real people, who get upset and then come after you with all the weapons they have is fun.

 

And people dont even have weapons. Last night me and my friends did a survival to wave 10. When you do you get to keep the weapons you pick up for 1 session.

Had minigun,rpg,sniper,auto shotty.

 

We went back into free roam and pwned mofos. Those people we pwned? Had never been killed by minigun before. sh*t was awesome.

 

This game hasnt even begun yet. Onec i have all the weapons im gonnoa make people quit my server constantly.

 

And your car better be insured because ill destroy that too.

I seldom get money from it [except once, when I scored $11000:-), but wasting real people in free mode..is simply the shizzle.

Most satisfying moment? Possibly; waiting concealed outside a store, gunning down the dude who robbed it before he even saw me-then getting away in his own car, before depositing the money [i got the idea for this, 'cause someone first did it to me-twice, which I thought was funni]. Almost as enjoyable, was trying the same thing-before I had a chance to get into cover; and getting wasted.

Actually, possibly even more satisfying; was killing someone who was sniping from a roof-only to hear him go "GRRRR, HmmmRRRRGRRRRRe.t.c", on chat like some spoilt entitled teenage twat. So OF COURSE, just 'cause of his reaction; I hunted him down, and wasted him a couple more times.

For pure fun, it's also VERY hard to beat; chasing someone down in a car [car chases with humans are epic]-which is even more satisfying if you can plug both of them behind the windscreen. If I see two in a car on my map; they are my primary target. Doesn't matter to me that they're trying to get away..this is G.T.A. If they cry; so much the better..their attitude stinks. If you don't like all the random murder; go play Super Mario Kart. This isn't a game for pacifists, or sore-losers. Patience is key here..as every time you shoot at them, they panic; and will eventually crash. So..just be more careful than them:-) Most people are careless. Experiance has also taught me, rather than go straight for the windscreen; to make a mess of his tires first if I can. What I'm really waiting for; are sticky bombs-so I can plant one on the car of a guy robbing a store, if you get me..in the meanwhile though; I'm perfecting my skills of getting clean-kills, without warning, if possible.

 

As a disclaimer, I will add the following [as every criminal has a code of conduct];

a) I started playing this way, because I gave up on missions..was sick of my game crashing every time I tried to join one, and getting a 'bad sport' warning each time I left the lobby for this reason. I have yet to play more than two missions, as last time I tried [last night]; took me an hr to log back in. And;

b) I'm not into bullying, so I always leave a guy alone after 2 or three kills at the most. One notable exception to this; was when a guy was repeatedly trolling me with an smg-when I only had a pistol. Must have fought each other 20 times, before he left. But you know what? I WENT to him, as I was still having fun. It's good fun being outgunned, playing cat-and-mouse; and getting your own back a couple of times. And if I REAALLLY wanted to get away; I could have-San Andreas is a big place after all.

 

I understand that if someone's repeatedly dying, because of the complexities of control; that it could get fustrating. But it was always going to be this way..for all it's arcade leanings; G.T.A is still a 'gamer's game', meaning; it's challenging and hardcore in a similar way to COD, Battlefield or the like. The only other game I'd put significant amounts of online time into was; Birds of Steel-a no compromise hard-as-broken-glass WW2 flight sim..if you were anything less than an ace in that; you would be slaughtered by everyone. There WAS a way around that though; simply by playing in 'sim' mode [with no lock-on camera, so even a noob could actually get away]. In GTA online; there are similar options; joining a crew, passive mode, ranking up and getting help from Lester and Merryweather, putting a bounty on someone, and single player all come to mind.

Even though I murder everyone on sight, with no apologies [my 'bad sport' rating is perfect by the way, so I figure everyone's having fun]; one thing that stops me as cleanly as a well-placed bullet between the eyes; is simply honking the horn. The last time some guy did that [having wasted him twice, and just about the pull the trigger a third time]; I simply hopped in his car.

Um that's the point of export cars. For players to fight over them, so your the asshole sport.

Sometimes i kill people, (almost never for no good reason ofcourse),

Sometimes i try to help people by getting them out of a tight situation (and hope they dont ultimately kill me).

Mostly i just drive past them.

 

Im fine with beeing chased down and attacked by people, but what really gets to me is when you try to.... "make friends" with someone, maybe you have them behind you.... you slow down, do a little burnout.....like: "Hey, wanna do something fun? race? rob something?",

Then the dude rolls up to the side of your vehicle, and empties his clip in your face.

 

The fun part about killing people is the chase and the combat, seeing as there is no scoreboard or any gain from killing people. These people I dont get, and these people I will kill repeatedly until they leave the server,

 

ill snipe them when they enter intersections, sticky bomb their vehicle and basicly be an utter douchbag, so they get the message
