jongameslap
Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online both represent years of hard work, thought, and dedication from an experienced team of developers who have learned how to properly use and manipulate current-gen hardware to create massively ambitious game titles such as Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. As for Grand Theft Auto Online in particular, that's something extremely special to Rockstar and most of us; GTA Online is incredibly ambitious, with unbelievable aspirations, especially for console platforms such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 - the game itself is a bold new approach to online gaming, therefor technical difficulties such as glitches, bugs, lags, server crashes, and so on should be expected with a game like this, especially throughout the first few week's of game launch when everyone is trying to stream the servers. As of now, the game is currently experiencing growing pains and going through the initial teething process, which will soon be addressed by Rockstar via upcoming title updates. Please sit tight, and remain patient - this game may be a technical headache, but everything is minor, and will be resolved by Rockstar soon. Time and patience is required for a game like this, and I appreciate the bold directions Rockstar have taken with this game. Also, for those who have lost some of their saved-online data, including purchases of weapons, clothes, cars, and/or apartment - should receive some form of suitable compensation. I understand it's just a video game, but I sincerely hope Rockstar plans on compensating everyone who's dedicated time and effort into their online character only to have it lost in thin air, along with everything they've purchased in-game. There's no replacement for time lost/wasted, but they should at least try and compensate for it. Perhaps a choice of one free apartment for everyone or one high-end sports car of their choice. Something to show that their time and effort wasn't completely for nothing.

Yes it is, nothing will ever top vice city and especially my childhood game, gta san andreas. But I dont like the direction gta is heading. Hi there, I definitly agree that some form of compensation is in order for those who lost some of their saved progress or character profile, that's really disappointing. 73duster
I look forward to another Red Dead Redemption as well, but this game is still quite amazing in it's own right. The problem is that the game has some issues that need to be addressed. The majority of these issues are being worked on, but people expect everything to be perfect immediately. That's not realistic considering the magnitude of what Rockstar is trying to do. When you push the limits of gaming, including the capabilities of current gen consoles, there are BOUND to be problems. Some problems don't even present themselves until you actually have millions of people play the game. You can't simulate everything in a lab and a handful of developers. WE are part of the testing process, and by working WITH the developer, the problems can be fixed. Six months from now the game will be the best thing ever, and people will laugh at all the hysterical behavior that is happening today.

Couldn't of said it better - I've noticed everyone expected the game to operate perfectly on launch day, and the first few initial weeks, which isn't possible considering the amount of ambitious ideals Rockstar have poured into this online game.
