Simeon car deliveries question

I still have the text message giving the list of cars that Simeon wants. I had always thought that I would have to randomly come across these and take them back whenever. Last eveneing I received a notification that one of the vehicles Simeon wants was on the map with an icon that showed up... it was promptly destroyed by some 12 year old im asuming for the lols.

 

Can I only return a car when it shows up on the map in this way, or can I go and seek out the different cars on my own and bring them in that way?

There are two types, the text cars & occasionly a high priority car that appears on the map.

I think the ones marked on the mini-map are different from the ones listed in the text. I randomly jacked a car that wasn't marked on the map and when I jumped in a prompt said Simeon wanted it. The cars marked on the map though seem to be different, ie everyone can see them and folk are obviously gonna fight over them for the reward.

The ones he sends you in a text are unique to you, and every player can complete them in their own time.

When he marks a priority car it is visible to the whole lobby, and is set up as a 'first come first serve' system like the crates. Only one person in the lobby can collect on it, its one of the ways to encourage fluid pvp in free roam, rather than just random killing on unsuspecting players.

Does anyone know of a quality map that shows the different locations names / parts of town. i.e. chumash, what is considered downtown, etc.

I returned an ocelot jackal that was high priority - after repairs and a respray (~$1000?) he paid around $12400 for it upon delivery.

It also depends on the car condition. If you return it without a dent, lots of cash, ive gotten around $6500 for the normal text cars in perfect condition. If you return it where it is about to go off like a Pinto, $50.

Yea, they're two types. The text ones and the high priority marked one on the map. Definitely try n grab the marked one, usually have big payouts, as stated above. I've heard if you modify the car more you get more of a payout, but I haven't confirmed this (apart from the fix and respray).

I got 16k or 18k dont recall for an SUV. It was a green car on the map
