Cloud servers unavailable error FIX!

Hi peeps,

This fix worked for me and a friend of me. Give us feedback to see if this works for more people.

For people who cant join GTA Online because the error: "Rockstar cloud servers are unavailable".

A friend of me found a fix for this!

if you have some experience with network settings, Change your DNS of your Xbox 360 or PS3 to the google DNS.

the Google DNS is:

Primary: 8.8.8.8

Secondary 8.8.4.4

If you dont have any experience follow my instructions below, (Only for Xbox 360 users, i dont have an PS3 myself). If you know how to change it on PS3 post it down here for people who dont know how to change the DNS step by step.

Go to System Settings, Click on network settings. Choose youre type of network( Wired or Wireless ). Click on Configure Network. Choose the DNS Settings section. Put it to Manual.

Youre primary DNS Server is 8.8.8.8 and your Secondary DNS server is 8.8.4.4

Now the Cloud server unavailable error should be gone now and Online is playable.

Sorry mate, didn't work for me. The cloud servers are still unavailable. I'm gonna keep these settings and update if it suddenly springs to life (while it has been dead for 3 weeks already)

 

Btw this is how you do it on PS3: Settings --> Network Settings --> Internet Connection Settings --> Choose custom and go through the connection settings choosing the options you want/ the default ones that light up. If you go Wireless you have to enter your Wifi name tho. When you come up to IP settings you can choose automatic or manual, in the automatic you can change the DNS on the second screen. In manual you can change if you want or just leave everything except for the last 2 lines. Primary Dns and Secondary DNS. Change them to Primary: 8.8.8.8. Secondary: 8.8.4.4. And then just continue on default if you don't want to change anything.
