Putting a bounty on yourself?

Go around stealing npc cars loads, one of them is sure to give you a bounty, might only be 1k though, but it seems even 1k is enough to get hoards of people chasing you. personally i only chase after 9k bounties lol

Fair question OP, I actually wondered the same the other day... Presumably for the same reason as you... I enjoy trying to defend myself against the hunters.

 

Latest attempt was train tunnel + car + sticky bombs at entrance + sniper = pretty good.

You'd know who was willing to die to kill you.

 

It makes sense to me.

A bunch of people complain (at least, on here) that people senselessly go around killing them. But I've yet to see a single person complain about being killed by a bounty they were going after.

 

So, essentially, anyone that goes after the bount(ies) is free game.

I think it'd be fun to put $9000 on a few of my friends and then hold up and see what people do.

 

 

And to the person who made the $5mil comment - I've never found bounties to be about the money. It's about the sport of the game. It's pretty much what missions have become; but this is an interactive mission that can (but won't always) react with some semblance of a brain.

 

It sounds a hell of a lot more exciting than grinding out missions over and over for sh*tty rewards, at least.

Your totally right about it, i put about the 5mil because some people were sayin stuff like'whats the point you just lose money' they would be having fun being chased down i was basicaly saying whats 9k to someone who has millions to throw away

I've wanted to put a bounty on myself as well in hopes of luring people in for a fight. I don't go around just killing other players for no reason. I respect that other people might not be down for freeroam player on player violence; this would provide an incentive to other players to engage in a firefight.

Maybe he has friends, but they are not online 24/7? Maybe he has friends, but they don't have or want to spend their money to put a bounty on him? Maybe we can evolve from stopping at the first thought that pops into our heads, and think of other reasons why he may want to place a bounty on himself?
