Car modding and not having to win races

so basically i suck at races but would like to upgrade a nice car, i thought i saw a car the other day that you didn't have to win races in to get the engine and brakes etc upgrades, anyone suggest any nice cars that unlock upgrades with rank?

All vehicles are a part of a category ( sports,suv, compact etc ) and you have to win so many races with each category of car to unlock all the upgrades. Annoying i know im not a fan of GTA racing but you need to do them for unlocks

I was racing yesterday with muscle car class, but I got upgrades for my sandking which is offroad class. I can't get online to check this out further, but so far you can see where I'm getting at.

It's a reward for those who get good at GTA racing.

 

If you suck at it, you can't wear those stripes. It's like joining the army and just expecting to get all the medals.

You have to earn it.

 

This isn't a 5 minute, jump in and get everything game. Chances are over time you'll get those unlocks anyway, sometimes I win races I shouldn't have purely because the other guy was worse.

A good car should = a good driver, so i like this mechanic, it allows people to practically identify whose kick ass in driving and who is standard.

They can't drive a faster car. You all get the same selection choices and "Custom Car" isn't always enabled. You only need customised options if you're playing against other custom cars and even then if they've got to the point of that level - they're gonna whip your ass no matter what car you have.

 

The best advice I can give is practice, drive faster, and use a bit of strategy to avoid crashes/mix up with other drivers. Most losses usually happen because somebody has spun you out - the person who is the best at avoiding this often wins.

I really love Racing in GTA(:Online) and the unlock limitations really keep me at some pace and motivate me to get better,... idk, I'm a huge fan of this unlocking mechanics (in every aspect of GTA)

True. Pretty much guarantee every first corner is a debacle. Everyone thinks you can win in the first corner, which isn't true, and the best way of doing that is by crashing. Whoever does this... while you might take me out, and piss me off, you've also taken yourself out, genius.

 

You might not be able to win in the first corner, but you certainly can lose there....

Its cool because I have turbo now, my Futo GT can race with the best of them now.

it's like this kill streak nonsense cod games have made so popular

let's give all the good players an even bigger advantage

that will help balance our multiplayer game

Do like i did: tradewins with someone

 

Set the prison track with 1lap, its very small and you can get wins fast

 

You win 1, the other guy win 1, till you reach the needed number of victories.

Vehicle mods should not be locked, the upgrades should be progressively higher priced with lower level upgrades required for top tier upgrades, I.E. you must have engine upgrade 2 purchased before you can purchase 3.

Asking players with a new base performance car to beat players with upgraded cars is absurd.
