no bodies characters are gone, your characters are saved to the Cloud which is currently down hence why your characters aren't there, use your heads, please.

What about if your character was on social, then you went to character creation but didnt make one and now the social stats are wiped?

because your stats are saved to Social club so even if you lost it it would still be there until you created a new one, but the reason you cant use it online is due to the servers for cloud being down which is why they say youll be able to use a 'TEMPORARY' account without being able to save

My character is gone...... happened 5 times now.

 

If the cloud is down why can i get on with my freshly created guy, log out & come back with his new progress saved? Luckily i had banked my 70k so that rolls over to my new guy.

I did see it I seen it running around the beach and I ran it over then backed up over it and did a burn out on it it was extremely funny

I know a lot of peoples characters have gone but today seems different I'm pretty sure people who "lost" characters today will have them back soon because It's pretty much all my friends list who had this happen to them and all you guys here.

Explain to me how the cloud is down when my friends are playing this very moment and I'm stuck at the character create screen and not the f*cking temporary character screen either.

My character isn't gone, it's just that I keep losing progress. I'm following their saving procedures and even restarting my console and logging back on to make sure it's still there and it is, but when I'm off for a few hours my progress suddenly vanishes.

 

Can anyone explain why that's happening?

I suspect that it may be gone.
