Rockstar, wtf went wrong?

So I created a character on Saturday to look similar to cj from sa, I got him to rank 15. Today I went to play some more, but my character was gone! I created a character in slot 2 to play online a little until I get my first one back. Then I get kicked out of the game after a while. I try to reconnect but it says my character was corrupted. I played single player for a little after that, but I went back on later, and I spawn with my first garage, but I have some ugly character that was not who I created!? WTF rockstar?

Well why didn't they take the time to fix it in the first update? I can't even play online because I don't want to make another character only to have it change to some bald chick.
