When a silencer costs $4,000 more than a Range Rover Sport...

Buy GTA V they said, it's the most 'realistic game' they said

The silencer is way overpriced for a pistol, thats all I have seen that has been exaggerated so far.

When they've added full heists and more missions, you'll most likely be swamped in more money than what you can spend.

You're basically selling a car for parts to a chop shop, how much did you think you would make for it?

@Matticus88

When will that be? Because until the day they add that, we will all have to be poor.

That is till we find out we can only do heists like once a day or something bullsh*t....lmfao

Its so people aren't left with loads of cash and nothing to spend it on. I mean loads of people already have the most expensive apartment and the game has only been working for a few days.

I like that you have to work and earn your weapons and cars. I smiled when a guy on mic complimented me on my newly purchased MP5 with silencer attached. I worked hard to buy it and schooled in the DM match that I was in.

Yes, it's expensive but not rediculously so. A single day of playing can still outfit you with weapon upgrades a car that can be customized and plenty of ammo and armor purchases. It's tough but with work you can buy the things you want.

I don't want to be able to play for 5 hours and be able to buy EVERYTHING from that one play session. On the other hand wouldn't want to have to play for days just to be able to afford a car or weapons

I though they said it was the most 'realistic game'

$9,000 for a Jaguar XKR

Where's the realism?

I'd rather be stuck with cash than be scraping a living together

Hey lets not forget the bills you have to pay every in-game day too

Seriously? Do you get pissed when the cops don't go after you for speeding everywhere when they see you?

Yes they did and GTA V was.

However you are talking about GTAO.

Don't think for one second you're going to make millions of the heists. Rest assured they will be balanced in a way that you might make $40k when it's all said and done, which would only get you a gun and silencer at the current prices.

Two words folks: Cash Cards

Rockstar wants you to buy them, therefor missions will pay low and items will be priced high. It's the reality. No in-game mission, heist, or whatever is going to be a better value then cash cards because its set up to steer players into buying them.

I am enjoying the money system, I like that it is hard but not impossible. I won't be buying cash cards and I don't care if I never have the best apartment. It's about the journey, and ranking up, for me at least. I'm sure there will be opportunities later on for players to make huge amounts of money. And then when you have everything, will you keep playing?

It's also called "Grand Theft Auto". A game where you CAN steal a car, but you CAN'T keep it.

I'm sure GTAO was originally very different, but when the micro-transaction layer was added, all kinds of tinkering had to be done like trackers, massive charge for dying, Ridiculous cost of garages etc.

Only some 5 - 10% of players will spend real money, but when they do it goes into the hundreds of dollars.

You have this small minority of cash rich players to thank for the existence of the game in this form.

Ain't capitalism grand.

Well, you and me won't buy slob cards, but those out there who laze and have low comprehension skill, will.

Two points:

1: I haven't unlocked that yet.

2: I want to make original money without using glitches or exploits.

I just wish I could have a suppressed weapon without having to rob some stores and sell a few Range Rovers for it :(

Well anyway... I do agree with you tho.

Everything is slightly on the pricey side.

GET A JOB

na, but seriously it feels painful compared to SP, however you're meant to play for a long time.

If you got everything straight away, you'd just get bored and move on, now you have stuff to work towards and you'll be more careful/thoughtful when spending your hard earned cash monies.
