And I'm curious as to how police work in GTAV. I'm playing GTA4 now. I just killed 2 people in a back alley with no one around, and cops were on me. There wasn't even a cop on my map right away, I just got the flashy police circle.

 

Is it possible to kill people silently without cops finding out in 5? Silenced guns or knives? I wanna be able to be somewhere hidden, kill someone, and not instantly get 1-2 stars out of no where.

 

Or maybe be hidden, but on a roof or something, and snipe someone without cops knowing I did it instantly? Or be hidden somewhere and kill someone on the sidewalk with a silenced weapon without instant cops.

Before I start, the police system is improved. It's no more circle. If you out of their line of sight, hide and wait 1 minute until they go away. It's kinda like Drive.

 

Okay, now that the basics are cleared, time for the real stuff. If people witness you, they might call the cops. If they don't, then you're fine. But the gunshots may alert them. It's best to add a silencer to your weapon. And with melee, it's the same thing. Just don't make anyone see you.

There are still the occasional occurences of psychic police officers. Killing someone on top of a mountain and getting cops on you. Kicking a corpse in a dark alley and getting the cops on you etc. etc.

But the system is a huge improvement from GTA IV. 90% of the time if no one's around, no cops will show up, even if you blow someone up with a bomb.

Nice, good to know. I expected there to be SOME issues with cops, every gta has cop issues. Good to know it's a lot better though. Thanks people.
