Does this beat Diablo & Sim City's Faliure?

Not really. A lot of people are still able to get in and play GTA:O despite what you're hearing here.

Rockstar's also been a lot quicker on the patch and relative fixes than the others. First day was massively bad, but as the last 3 days have gone by it's been much much better.

Diablo III didn't cause loss of characters and money...

Rockstar takes it.

Figures..........

Because it was utterly unplayable. A lot of people are still enjoying GTA:O right now and its day what.. 4?

Well, D3 was unplayable for a few days it was quite lame. However, here's an interesting way to look at it:

Diablo 3 -

Released and you're eager to play. You have a quarter-hard boner at this point. You're trying to log in but realize you can not. Boner instantly drops to zero as you scour the internet for bad news. You're depressed but is resolved eventually.

GTA Online -

Released and you're eager to play. You have a quarter-hard boner at this point. You're trying to log in but realize you can not. Boner instantly drops to zero as you scour the internet for bad news. Later, you are able to get on and progress normally. Your boner likely rises to between a semi-hard to a full-blown hard on because of the thrilling PvP action. You lose your character. You receive extreme blue balls as your hard-on drops to an instant pendulum of rage because you do not want to start over.

I think GTA: O had the worst online launch, considering these factors.

I "lived" all of them.

To me Diablo 3 and Sim City are worst, because you could not play AT ALLLLLLLL even offline. GTA 5, got SP at least... But most people finish it already.

So in "order"

Diablo and sim city #1 equal ( i dont remember how much day it was unavailable for each ) But sim city give us a free game.. So a little less dissapointing

2nd GTA : O

3rd Total Rome 2 ( still not optimize and AI is dumb... after 1 month..... BAD )

Losing your characters after playing for 3 days is far more frustrating than not playing at all.

Wasn't SimCity down completely for almost a month?

No. It worked relatively stable after 2 days... and perfectly fine after 4 days.

Oh you never played them? Then shut the f*ck up. Half the people can get on already and there's actually a couple things you could do to get yourself online if you're having trouble so f*ck off with this useless thread.

I like how one of the first issues they tried to address was the fact that people can earn GTA$ outside of purchasing it.

Unless you do missions like Violent Duct, you're better off sitting in your house hiding from people to avoid hospital bills.

Yeah we can get online, but we still get our characters deleted. GTA Online is sketchy as f*ck. I played GTA 5 solo for 5 minutes and did random freak and strangers mission and it is was way more fun than GTA online. 1. because Trevor is an awesome video game character 2. I was by myself and there was no competition and 3. It felt like GTA!

I've personally never had a character lost, don't know how you guys are losing them and I hope it doesn't happen to me.

I had a rollback on my rank once, and that was most likely because I shut off my xbox before it had a chance to autosave. Now I just switch to my singleplayer character to force an autosave (switching freeroam sessions does the same) before turning my console off.

My character was fine this morning, I saved in the same usual fashion but my character disappeared.

You can't even compare gta o to the other ones. The other games were un playable to ALL degrees. And this went on for weeks.

I guess I'm just lucky, but for me - the first few days on Diablo 3 on PC I remember I had almost 0 issues and ended up one of the first Level 60 Wizards to complete Inferno.

In GTA Online, same thing, almost no issues, currently Level 58. (I've been slacking a lot though, I know some have hit 100 already)

A lot of cities were lost during the launch of SimCity. For now I'll say that GTAO and SimCity are on par, but if this continues, GTAO definitely will take it - considering that SimCity was okay after a few days.

Probably better than Sim City but worse than Diablo.

My main disappointment is more to do with how they've structured the online game. Non skippable tutorial, having to buy bullets for deathmatches, not being able to just grab friends into a posse/crew the way I could in RDR, level 7 for sports? Why? The whole set up just stinks compared to GTA 4 and RDR. Best GTA single player game ever, online not so great.

This online doesn't even come close to these two.

WHY? Diablo was not near as bad as this. D3 was playable almost immediately. SC was worse, but GTAO is getting closer to being the worst launch ever in gaming.,

At least you can play gta offline mode offline. These two games required to be online even if you wanted to play alone which is why the launch sucked so much.
