Has anyone not had a deletion issue?

Am I the only one who hasn't had this problem? The only thing that has happened to me (other than it being difficult to get online up until now) was my game rolling back an hour or so earlier today. Although I'm about 99% sure that only happened because they turned the cloud server off while I was still playing. It seems to have saved everything up until they turned the server off.

I have no issues as long as I don't play when I cant see my character then again I can pretty much play when ever I like, so I don't mind waiting to play.

How you save has no bearing and is just a way of turning the blame on the player in some irrational need to defend R*.

No problems here, I think most people having issues aren’t saving properly, OR they are overwriting their old characters

No disappearing, took 3 days to be able to play though

I lost one the first day, but now I don't try and force play when the servers aren't working, so I don't get stuck in a loading screen....the one with the little spinning circle that you are told not to turn off the console or reset while its spinning when the game loads up.

When you try to spam the servers its the chance you take, and is common in many games. Can't recall how many Diablo 3 characters I lost because I got DC'd before it saved...and that is a company worth much more than Rockstar, with an MMO and deep knowledge. I decided to take a break, I play with the Aussies, since then I haven't had a login issue or play issue.

However before I stray to far off point.

The reason people are getting DELETED characters is because you make a new character and that one gets saved into the cloud over your old one.

Patience is a virtue, I haven't lost anything since the first day, when they said they were going to have server troubles I wiped 2 dudes, and realized its because I wasn't being patient. Its pretty hard to stress test for a game that sold 10 million copies in under a week, not many Online games have had a successful launch, let alone first week.

You are all deleting your own characters, or you are playing and quit without the cloud being active and losing progress. You are told when the cloud is down, anything you do when it is down is do so at your own risk. AND ROCKSTAR HAS SAID THAT!

After a decade of Online gaming with major game launches, this is nothing compared to some games...just have patience, you are really doing it to yourselves in the end.
