as I said they need to shut it all the f*ck down until they resolve the issue, every time they say something is fixed I create a new char and every f*cking time it gets deleted just shut it down and stop wasting ppls time!!!

100% agree. If its not working right, close it down till it is. I also am annoyed that they didn't publicly acknowledge issues with character deletion until yesterday, though it was happening since launch day...

If they shut it down it wouldn't be fair to the many people who aren't experiencing problems (other than of course day 1) like myself!

yes! but they wont because of all the little bitching kids that are somehow already bored with singleplayer. (at the moment gta v single player is far superior to gta online)

yea im jealous of my friends who have been able to play consistently with no character deletion issues closing in on lvl 40 while my characters keep getting erased.

There are things that can only be found and addressed by having us play the online. It would be great if they could resolve everything offline, but the truth is, we are part of the testing process.

They just need to shut it down for a couple of days, sit down and figure out what the f*ck is wrong. It's unfair to those who are experiencing major problems (such as lacking a character to play with) if they're allowing people to continue progressing. It'll come to a point where as people are just getting back online the lucky bastards who never experienced a single loss are now rank 100 or w/e and are constantly griefing us with their bought Buzzards.

Agree. Love your sh*t R* but just reset and bring it back when it's ready.

 

Thing is, this situation could now turn what would of been a large user base into a small one, which will make the whole experience a poorer one in the long run. Which would be a shame because it's superb.

They should have beta tested this on a grander scale. If are accomplishments wont be saved, so be it. But at least publicly acknowledge the issue... Didn't even have an open article on it till yesterday, though it was happening since launch. It's happened to me twice and I wont let it happen again. Not playing till they publicly announce its fixed.

I emailed rockstarsupport about lost of character and (or) data. Here's what they sent me . They bassically said they don't know Wtf is going on or how to fix it.

 

"Please note that our Technical Support Representatives do not have further information at this time about lost data for individual accounts, and are not currently able to restore progress. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, and recommend subscribing to the article for all updates about restoration.

 

Hope to see you Online and thanks for your patience through this launch,

i just deleted my character so that i dont set myself up for disapointment lol im going to spend the time trying to make my character look like someone iwant...write it down...then come back when the game actually works

Shouldn't of used the Cloud Servers in the first place...and we are to be using this next gen? No thank you. Ill just stay offline and never do online gaming at all on console anymore.

 

There are many other issues too that are just as gamebreaking...Such as the majority of the time not being able to join missions, deathmatches or races and getting a Timed out message every time.

I agree. But R* did it primarily because of the D bag modding population who would mod their save files on console... save that sh*t for PC.

Even if my character is working flawlessly, i still think they should shut it down until the online works without any annoying bugs like deleted characters and progress not being saved. I'm always worried everytime i turn my console off fearing my character would get deleted.

The problem with that is, I didn't pay my hard earned money to beta test an unfinished game.

Are character deletions on PS3? I have about 62 friends on my friends list and all of them but 1 have lost their character. I'm on 360 btw
